Hi Paul
I have been follow up with your information (video) on the RSS after almost giving up golf in view of my poor normal setup - totally no confidence during range as most of the swing are very BAD.
I find it easy to adopt as I can achieve my setup and swing easily. So, with about 3 months of practise (only twice a week at the range) ... I manage to PASS my PC test at NSRCC this afternoon. Luckily, all the tee off is striaght towards target but w/o much distance - manage to 1 on for the 1st and 2nd hole.
Using the same set up for chipping and putting also.
Might take up lesson from you in the near future to further improve my swing for better distance and accurracy (especially driver set up - usually experience SLICE for Driver but IRON is ok)
Cheers
Congratulations on passing your PC. I am glad that the videos helped.

Yes if anyone is interested, 3 players are playing this week 1. Rodney Pampling 2. Scott Barr 3. Daniel Vansic
We wish them luck. I watched Rodney on the range and his is in fine form. I think Serapong will suit his game. The hot weather maybe his downfall!!
Rd 1. Scott shot Even Par 71 Rodney is Even after 8 holes
I will be out there tmrw to follow the boys

If you can also capture some RSS-ers video swing (especially when hitting drivers) and share it, we will be extremely grateful. Have fun.

in the frys.com open i saw the winner troy matteson swing with a different method which kinda reminded me of the RSS. was it? his left leg looked quiet and the pivot point for his swing. or was it a stack with not much tilt?

Ah, you misunderstood me. I know we have 4 standard hopeless HD channel. Compare it to Sky in UK which is having 35 HD Channels right now. Golf Channel HD in Singapore would be nice

Troy uses Stack and Tilt. They discuss it quite extensively on golfwrx.com

Here are some driver swings of Rodney Pampling (not from Singapore Open).

If anyone is wondering how Pamps went at The Singapore Open, well unfortunately he played the last 60 holes on one leg. One day 1 he badly sprained his ankle climbing out of a steep bunker. He should have retired injured but continued on to finish 43rd on +1. I watched him in Round 2 and even with the bad ankle he struck the ball very well. His putting was very disappointing however.

ouch... nothing worse than sports injuries at this level (even sprained ankle)... can't check out the video yet since office firewall blocks them but really appreciate your effort. Thanks a million!!! p.s. you might want to give him your fliers on your putting clinic

Hi bros, I am a recent convert from the LSS to the RSS. I have spent the last 2 months taking lessons from RSC and many more hours practising in the range in front of the mirrors. It wasnt easy to change and I dont think I have mastered it fully, but I think am getting close. RSC, thanks for the drills and encouragement, I am beginning to enjoy my new swing.
So why did I change? It started out of curiosity. Is there a better swing out there? But my main objective is to improve my game and to develop a repeatable and efficient swing. What I like about this swing, is that it is simple to execute once you get the setup angles right and there are very few checkpoints to remember compared to the LSS. The most difficult part in changing to this swing is the setup position, the way your body turns and the feeling of no weight shift from the back swing to the follow thru. The feeling I get is just like standing there and hitting the ball by swinging my arms.
What are my conclusions after 2 months? I can compress the ball better at impact and my shots are much straighter than before. Distance wise, I think I may have gained about one club, not much but it is the accuracy that matters. My scores have not improved a great deal yet, but I can see the potential of that happening. I need a few more rounds on the course to trust the swing and just execute the shots.
If all else fails, I can always go back to the left side. 8)
Had the pleasure of playing with Rogy today at Kranji and was great to see him shoot an 83 from the Blue Tees. Many fairways and straight shots and some great short game play. Beware anyone who plays with him as his 14 handicap is a bit too high now. Should be more like 10 Thanks for a great day Rogy. Keep up the good work and hard practice

I tot a sprained ankle should affect the full swing instead of putting... I think mentally he is bothered by the ankle...

Hey Paul, SHHHHHH...., not so loud!! Only 3 under la! Everyone will be asking for strokes from now on!! It was great fun playing with you & the weather was wonderful. Sorry that the taxi driver took you on a big detour. Oh well, it is just another side of Spore that you have not explored!!
It was just one of those good round when all the shots worked. Still need to work on my driving and approach shots, but I am very happy with my swing change progress. Next target, break 80.... 8) Thanks for all your help.

Another success story today. GR'er RegiT who started with me on a 10 handicap shot a 78. His first time under 80 in 3 years. I think single figure handicap is not far away. Well done RegiT, the practice and commitment to the changes is paying off. By the way, that case of beer you owe me, make it Tiger
