| willy, I seldom post nowadays....
but I share with you my philosophy....
course management and short game...
from wisdom that had been past to me....
I believe that u cant break 95 is due to the big numbers u have on some holes...
as I have mentioned in the past, if u bogey every hole for 18 holes... u wanna know your score? if your 1st shot is about 180-190m, u rarely will find fairway bunkers, followed by 2nd shot which is abt 20-30m off the green, u will also rarely find greenside bunkers, u chip onto the green with your 3rd and make sure u 2 putted.... easy easy break 95
in addition, u work on your short game which is important when u progress to break 85...
find that consistency for those shots, u will break 95...
if u focus too much on length off the tee.... u will be eaten by your golf kakis
confidence is your greatest friend, u need to find that friend....

| I think one very impt point is you must be able to hit relatively straight shots. If ur drive and approach is sometime left, sometime right and sometime centre......then I think break 95 from white also diff.
Willy, can I ask u a question? Do u break 95 consistently from white?

Of course lah. U everyday low 80s......how to smell 90s How I wish i everyday low 80s... in my dreams maybe.. I was always kana told.. Long no use... if you cannot arrive. Arrive no use ... if you cannot putt. So the most important stroke and club is your putter. The one that puts the ball into the hole.

Willy, can I ask u a question? Do u break 95 consistently from white? Skybobo, Frankly speaking I seldom play from the white, usually play from the blue at my home club. I have been gaming btw 91 - 96 recently from blue with some occasional 100s when all dept not working. I have a record of my good and bad from each game so that I can focus more on my weakness.

| Don't fret
Golf is a tough game
As long as you are taking lessons, getting time to play on course, practice both short and long game, control your mental/course management, and lastly, getting properly fitted equipment (regardless if JDM or not) you should yield some results
I'm playing over ten years just to be a mid Hcp player I've come to terms with it. Need to juggle work, family and personal time
Just enjoy your next game

Just enjoy your next game Golf is like the stock market. Sometimes it goes up or down with no real reason. And it is cyclical...

| to be honest, I also think this is impossible unless you have a sharp game on the day but not on regular basis. I'm considered myself working hard, practice quite regular for my game, but playing off blue and white is different of ball game entirely. Blue is not because of longer, but the angle off the tee also more difficult, some more considering second shot required long irons like 5, 6 or hybrid or woods, this is the problem. Once you missed the green, then is short game, if you only play once a while then how to keep it one chip with 2 putts. To me, golf is not as simple as maths to play every hole as buggy will do. Once you have a mistake and big number on one hole then it's very difficult to recover. So I normally break 9 holes in once bucket, then further break 3 holes in one bucket. Keep every 3 holes score with max of 15, 6x15=90. if one of the 3 holes is 16, which is also fine, i.e. you can have 4 of 3 holes in 16, 16x4+15x2=94. So working hard on every 3 holes is easy to manage rather than every hole as buggy. | |

I think add a bit more consistency and u should be on ur way to break 90 soon. If we ever play, give me some strokes ok. Thanks.
