| You can try practising at home i.e. get a putting mat to groove your putting stroke, find a nearby playground or reasonable patch of grass area to practise your chipping. If not, get a carpet and chip your balls into a box or basket. And lastly, pray hard for divine intervention! | |

| Not trying to be funny but:
First question is whether you can consistently break 90 from White? If not, why make the game more difficult by playing off Blue?

| I totally agree with Quest......why make yourself suffer....if you consistantly score low 80 off white maybe then you can try to play off blue. | |

That is really poor advice. I have met my fair share of golfers every week at my home course teeing off blue and making the flights behind suffer the agony of having to wait and see them hack their way to the green. Easily 6 strokes to reach the par-4s and 3 putting before moving on to the next hole to continue with the sad story again. Sometimes comical to witness drivers out at the par 3 hole. Better to rein in the ego & enjoy the game more.

| Hi Jake..
I would think playing below 95 consistently while only playing twice a month is not an easy task like all have said...
But, there are certain things to remember which could help you play closer to that.. Like playing each shot as it is.. Telling yourself your objective is just getting the ball straight in the direction of the green and not trying to whack 200m every time.. Not giving yourself too much pressure to put the ball on 2 for all par 4s.. Getting a chip on the green no matter from where.. Putting it close for 2 putts.. etc.. I guess so much for the mental aspect too..
Good luck ! | |

| assuming you have 14 clubs. take out 5 clubs from your 14 club bag first. starting with the least used longest club. to minimise blow ups and lost balls.
hit it where you can see it.
practise green to tee, priority to chipping.
and maybe most importantly, enjoy your game. Some legendary golfer ever said , score should be like the 5th most important thing in a game. Enjoy the walk.

| Bro Jake, markie here. For those who dunno Jake, he is a strong 18 hcp. Tee off easily 220m & above. Play below 90 is a piece of cake for him.
Bro, I know u long time no play. I give u a piece of advice and I dare u to try it for all par 4. In nsrcc, most par 4 off blue is around 360m. Can u try to take 9i or 8i and hit 3 shots. With ur distance, u can easily hit the green in 3. And the more u use the iron, the more familiar. Even if u miss green, u can easily chip on. Try to 2 putt and I am sure u will break 95.
By keeping the big dog out, u avoid ob and penalty.
Question. Will u keep ur ego and do it?
