But today I played my 1st time is NSRCC (Changi), managed to play 95 for Army & Air Force. Literally, playing blind
And I was using my new Nike Covert VRS driver.
Happy happy.

And literally playing blind cos, it's my 1st time playing in NSRCC in Changi. Using pure gut feeling on where to lay-up, what hazards are ahead and etc

| Hi Simon, congrats! Breaking 100 for the first time is always special.
Just wondering, did you notice anything different or was there some part of your game working exceptionally well? Or was it more not really making any big mistakes throughout 18 holes?
Perhaps you could share a little more detail to help those who are still seeking to break 100.

| Awesome job. Breaking 100, 90, 80, 70 are all marked achievements. Golf is not an easy game but having set levels by which you can work toward help in that challenge. Keep after it!!! 90 is just around the corner.... | |

| Congrats. Good to track the progress and set targets. Lower scores will come soon.
One of the things that I abstain from on the course is not to drink 100plus. Works for me.

Happy happy. Wah! Bro, is your Covert the latest model that is now being touted as the longest ever Driver? Yes, my Covert is the latest from Nike. Bought from Isetan the previous Sunday for $580 with free cart bag, managed to sell the cart for $160 the next day. Unfortunately, can't sell it here cos lack of posting.

Possibly, my new driver did the trick for most part of my game. Previously, I was using my old Burner, guess that the shaft had lost its "stiffness" and my tee-shots mostly go to the left. But with the new driver, it went straight onto the fairways. And I had learn to use my 7-irons with putter grip for my approach shots less than 40 metres (not those needing to go over any hazards), this actually helps me a fair bit, yes, it looks ugly but it works for me. Yes, the pro uses their wedges, but I can't be certain I can always get got contact (the ball fly across the green when you suay suay hit the center of the ball) And I was telling myself "don't screw-up when using my new driver for the 1st time on the course, embarrassing!!!".
