I agree. Bishan range is getting really bad. although parking is free, the carpark is almost always full during evenings / night. and the worst part is that it's not bcos of golfers, but ppl who go to bishan park or the nearby coffeeshop.

as for the golfing bays, the management has decreased the distance between each bay by so much such that each bay is so close to the next one. so much so that they have to put signs to warn ppl to watch out for the other golfer's backswing! Essentially, u can't swing your driver with peace of mind, bcos u'r afraid of hitting the guy behind, and u are also in constant fear that the guy in front of u may take ur head off with his club (esp if he / she is a wild-swinging type of golfer)

Your wish was granted.. Hahaha.. Heard about the infamous range too...

Haven't been there for a long time, the last time I went in February, the fans were not working, I asked one of the workers there he said "spoilt"... But I must say the matts were newer than before and the balls were whiter too.. So at least some improvements cheers

Hi Folks,
A new update to Bishan range since i live opposite and frequent there due to convience.

You have to PAY for carpark for bishan range now with the new cash card gantry.
There is NO cashcard machine for you to top up. So if your cashcard no $$, good luck. The nearest one is at the KPT kopitiam there. At least 20 min slow walk away.

On the good side, the KTV at the corner of the range just changed girls. This batch looks better then the previous one but more dao!

Enjoy the range!!!

I drink there occasionally as i can walk home from there.
Don't have to worry about leaving car behind or getting a valet to drive me home.

As we are also doing promotions from time to time over there, the place is totally different. Nice atmosphere.

I totally disagree if this driving range to be listed under worst driving range in Singapore.

Please remove them from the worst list.

Dear IOI Palm Villa,

Firstly, which driving range are you referring to when you want it struck off the list?

Secondly, this is a free forum with no paid endorsements or advertising. Forumers share their views, unbiased or otherwise, and their experiences.

I would suggest that, if you have indeed improved your product and are willing to stand behind it, organise an event whereby you offer free balls (or heavily discounted balls) and communicate it here. Whether it be exclusive for GR members or the general public is immaterial. If your product is good, you will receive good feedback and publicity in the forum. If it is not, you will get honest feedback and it can provide some direction as to why the investments you have made to improve you product and not being perceived as added value by your customers.

If a one off event is not your style, another idea would be to get golfers who patronize your range to fill out a simple survey in exchange for a basket of balls to get honest feedback about your facilities.

There are many more ways to approach this and ALL are preferable to taking an authoritative stance and demanding that the driving range you manage is taken off the "Worst" list.

was there last week.... definitely not as crowded as before... some of my friends also saying that they will not go back after finish using their credits.

correct me if im wrong but i think they changed some of their mats... used to be very old and worn out...

didnt notice anything new on the upper floors, will see later if the lower floors have indeed new ones.

Bishan range not so bad as like ghost town lah. Because still got quite a few beginners class happening so you will still see ppl at the basement, 1st and 2nd lvl. But definitely less ppl than before. the good part to it is, you'll get some peace and quiet and no one 'eye-ing' your space at the back.

Anyway, if you don't think this is the worst one now. Why don't you start collecting parking fee for all vistitors to palm villa, maybe your business will be even better than before?

I think it's absurd that Bishan range is collecting parking now. Although it can be claimed using credits, it's still a hassle. plus it's not like e balls n place is in tip top condition.

It holds special memory coz I had my beginner's lessons there. But then the balls, mats and toilets are damn jia lat. even the machine has problems reading the card at times.

I think Bishan charging for parking leaves a bad taste in the mouth though is can be claimed.

I think the worse driving range is Mandai Executive range ... But the good thing is, many of us like to park our cars there when we car pool to JB for golf. Very ideal pickup venue plus one can catch some mating action by the apes while waiting for the golf kakis to arrive. Laughing
