Vote: Worst Driving Range

Went to one range in the centre part of Singapore (Bukit Timah ) To my amazement, the range balls were yellowish (original was white when new) and most were even muddied....

To make it even more memorable, the range ran out of balls and the guys had to queue up for more than 10 minutes while waiting for their rationed 1 bucket of balls...

Just wondering how many of this out there since I seldom go to the range...

That place has deteriorated over the years

I think for me, worst so far is Punggol. Must pay for parking... Friggin ridiculous. Hahahahhaha.. But the balls not bad.. And can actually see it hit the back net.. Quite good feeling. But still, need to pay for parking. Sucks.

Is there a body to govern the minimum standards of driving ranges in Singapore ??

Isn't there some guidelines ? Like condition of balls and mats etc?

I was fortunately tat my place was within walkg distance n e oni place where i can find convenient in practicg at most timing.

Green Fairway isn't bad , i see worse in singapore . Just Bishan is worse as the quality of the mat and sign are all of them falling down last time i went there was end of January .

Sometimes is the crowd tt makes the range visit unpleasant. I particularly had bad experiences at Mandai.
1) Ppl blasting music while hitting. (can u believe tt?!)
2) Uncles & coaches talking damn bloody loud...(prob the regulars there & I'm sure they r shareholders... If not y so ya-ya)
3) 'Free coaching'
4) Smoking... I hate most....

Mostly I can spent at list 4hrs at Bishan range,co's my kaki all down there.On that day at Punggol range,I meet PGA members for some training...after that left three of us talking and still hit some of own remining balls...end up like that lor...

Last time TP range ran out of balls in wkend at times, so they had to let customer go out and picked the balls back.....so got "happy hour"

I agree. Bishan range is getting really bad. although parking is free, the carpark is almost always full during evenings / night. and the worst part is that it's not bcos of golfers, but ppl who go to bishan park or the nearby coffeeshop.

as for the golfing bays, the management has decreased the distance between each bay by so much such that each bay is so close to the next one. so much so that they have to put signs to warn ppl to watch out for the other golfer's backswing! Essentially, u can't swing your driver with peace of mind, bcos u'r afraid of hitting the guy behind, and u are also in constant fear that the guy in front of u may take ur head off with his club (esp if he / she is a wild-swinging type of golfer)

Usually i ll walk over most sat morn 715am w a kakis practicg.
Again, every tues wil try to drop by w another grp of friend (we named: PGA grp) fr a backet of 90 balls.

Oh yes, i always hv to check rear when hittin drivers.

Now carpark lagi full cos theres a used car shop located in same building.
Thus many used car parked in the carkpark.

Yes,now a days lots really full...co's there got 3-4 car mobile company use up those lots.If u wanna enjoy those bay,why not go up to 3rd story..not much ppl

To those who wanna practice their swing can come my place at night.. Got driving range $1 for 40 balls. After practice can go swimming to cool off also.. Free parking also. BYOB (Bring Your Own Beer) though..
