Keppel Driving Range now need to validate range card everytime before drawing balls?!?!

I just encountered this, and was like..?!?!?

which other driving range does this? and what's the rational.. all they said was " this is the new rule"

wah....maybe becos they realized the number of balls on the range fairway, more than the money collected????

They started on 1 Jan. Apparently so that they can "recognise" guests and enforce the rule that guests can only use bays on the 2nd level. Members have complained to the Exco that guests use the member bays and they decided to implement this rule.

Many times, it all depends on your "relationship" with the pro shop. It can be a DARK experience for this instance. Sometimes, if you have good brotherhood with the staff there, you can even buy balls at members price. I've seen it.... done that.. been there.. and now.. out of there... Evil or Very Mad

it happens everywhere..just that no one says a thing. I used to buy 500 balls at SCC at $5 when I was having my lessons.

Wat I learnt is. If you got access to the 'ball pickers' or the staff topping up your card, you are in line for lots of benefits.

Used to get 200 balls for $5 at a range in Jurong. All you need to do is make fren with the Indian ballpickers there, offer them a ciggie or 2, sometimes buy tea for them and chit chat with them. cheers

But I heard their operation kena sweep by the management orede.

Does it bother you very much?

Seriously it doesn't really bother me that much.. just do not see the point and it is a hassle.
