WMF, you're too humble. When we last played, your drives were pretty long and straight.

Anyone who claims they can shoot 250m average, 280m, should be top 200 on PGATOUR.
Inclusive of 20 metres roll because the PGA fairways are primed hard and fast.

| these days, i am just happy my drive is straight and in fairway. I am even happy if its at the beginning of the fairway. Even if it takes me a 3-on for a par 4, i am happy to walk away with a bogey. It sure beats being in some rough bunker and in the company of trees. Worst still. WATER!!! | |

I think distance and swing speed comes hand in hand. best is to get a shaft suitable for your swing speed, if not your ball direction will be inconsistance.

| btw, if wanna measure based on buggy GPS at MBGC or Tanjong. do this
- park buggy next to the tee you're hitting from - push red "drive" button before driving off to your ball (if you forget to push drive, the default starting point is the blue tee position set in the GPS system. Golfers teeing off fr white or red will read longer drives measurement)

| I can hit my drive 200 - 220m. Done that one a few occasions on the course. In my memory: 1) 220m drives -- went high and so right, lost the ball in the forest 2) 210m drives -- went right again, over the fence and no chance to find 3) 200m drives -- went left this time and ball went fishing The other few times i get the ball in the direction i am aiming, i manage to 1) Top the ball... rolled to red tee 2) duck hook it... past the red tee into deep rough 3) low and straight right into pond 50m in front... Maybe i shld keep my driver for the driving range only... | |

but you still arrived @ 200++ m on the fairway ......... You must have seen it in your dreams. I have never ever drove 200m not unless I hit the buggy track and take the "EPC".
Didn't expect to draw you out from your hibernation with this post. Nice to have you back, my friend. When can we have a game and you can see my 160m drive. My only 2 games with you in the past witness your 200++ m (or rather 199m carry) drive leh ..... you outdrove me almost every single hole and i handed $$ to u with my jaw wide open ..... you drove 160m using 5i ............ when you want to game @ kranji?? slinger, kian, 4dtoto and many more waiting to welcome u .........

| if you can consistently hit 150m with 8i, and your dad thinks tht it is not good enough, then you dad has the wrong concept about golf... cos your range would generally be as follows:
7i - 160m 6i - 170m 5i - 180m 4i - 190m
there is no more distance that would would require while playing the game of golf, in fact, assuming that 150m is the carry distance, you would be above the pga tour average of 160 yards

| Distance is constant. but accuracy can be off depending on how much warm up i have =) PW-120 9I-130 8I-140 7I-150 6I-165 5I-170 4I-180
Having accuracy problems with my 4 and 5 irons. l still working out the kinks.
I am personally quite happy with the yardage so far, so quite -_-" haha im 15 years too late to be training for Rio2016

swing doesnt have to be pretty to be good. swinging 8-6 you can hit 150m with an 8 iron. too sick la. im nowhere close to that.

| How come everyone but me can measure their distance at the range? Everytime i try to see where my ball lands, it just disappeared among the sea of balls. I don't even know my actual distance for 8 irons onwards... Just agak agak and add/minus 10 meters for every club | |
