| i must tell you this story that happened today.
an old guy (about 60+ years old) came in and said he wanted to change his hybrid shaft. he is not tall and have 3 TM hybrids with him. one is shafted with an Aldila and the other is shafted with NS pro steel.
he then proceed to tell me that he cannot him the one with the graphite shaft but has no problem with the NS pros.
i asked him to him his 7 iron...boom straight down the middle, 135 to 138 metres. 10 shots all straight and about the same distance.
i asked him to hit his hybrids and he launched his 17 degree R9 TP pretty well. then i asked him to stop and asked if his handicap is below 10. he nod his head and said that its 8. i can see that he is still sharp and is not surprised.
also shafted his 22 degree hybrid with an SF i80. he told me specifically that he do not like shafts that are too light. he also told me that he is using the TM burner forged that he bought from Japan and uses MR Bassara graphite shafts on his irons. the man knows his equipment.
the moral of the story...never underestimate a senior golfer and the lightest shaft is not always the ideal choice.

| Tell that to JimmyChoo. He's complaining that he's old and cannot use anything more than R, NS Pro suits him yadayadayada. He said he eat too much rice and not enuff beef when he was young so now cannot hit far. | |

| if you discount the fact that he has always used XXS flex shaft up to early this month, added a good 3 inch to his waistline, lost a couple of teeth due to his fondness for raw tobacco, his inability to take and post picture. his love for nasi lemak, his recent image change (evidence from his avatar)...
he is in pretty bad shape.
