thank you in advance for responding.....

Hi DG_man Smile

*burp* from beer

Trackman is a device which measures the different swing aspects of your swing, like most radar-like golf devices these days.

Using the more important factors, such as angle of attack of the clubhead on your downswing towards the ball, clubface position prior to impact and post impact, and your clubhead speed -> it measures the ball speed and spinrate -> predicting the flight of the ball

I think a few pros on tour like darren clark carry one around to help them with their training etc ... Hope this helps!

i think this device is quite good in terms of measuring all aspects of your swing.. very useful for measuring all aspects of your ball flight and trajectory and all that.. from what i understand, the machine is actually able to plot an extremely accurate trajectory of your actual ball flight...

furthermore, i think it is able to measure all various metrics of your swing, such as spin rate, swing path, tracking clubface movement, etc. which aids fitters, coaches, etc.

hmm.... this machine sounds interesting...
think i'll buy one to put at home... don't know if i can hook it up to my 15 yr old 14" CRT tv...

of course as usual and as always.....

the bronze PN is yours liao.....haha

btw something not related...Heath Slocum who won the Barclays on 30 August was asked what makes him putt so well recently. he is said to accredit that confidence in his new found putting aid that's made by Zen Oracle. its in prototyping stage and is not available to the public yet.

the inventor told me that TW may even get one soon.

oh ya, i was on the trackman a while ago :-

It showed me the spin rates off the different shafts as follows:

Rifle Shaft 6.0 < Project X 6.0 < DG300/200 < Nspro Stiff 950

The difference of the spin rate RPM between the riffle 6.0 and DG300 was close to 1000 rpm when i was hitting the 6 iron.

Its a potent launch monitor and also super expensive at US$20k ... use doppler radar technology ... thought of buying one but no space to use it .... Keppel's Chilli Golf i believe uses one for their club fitting ...

i know... can also play game... nearest to pin.. longest drive.. straightest line.. etc..

otherwise, this trackman thing is also quite good to train accuracy.. put it in one corner and chip to it... Laughing

yeah, DGMan is right. they only bring it down on very selected few demo days..

i am a keppel member so often hang out at the driving range there, i would say most of the part time staff there wouldn't even know what trackman is...

anyway lamts, u are already so accurate, what for u need the launch monitor to be so accurate..

but anyway, i must say that the trackman is like the bomb of the bomb of the bomb of the bomb... it possesses every damn feature that is relevant, and even irrelevant to the golfer.. rumour has it that it can ever scan through your pants and tell you whether you are wearing boxers, briefs, or commando style... it can even analyse the threadcount of the material of your underwear.. and mind you, that is with your golf pants on!!! if you are standing commando in front of the machine, then... it will analyse haircount. affraid

Its the Mother of Launch Monitors ... measures complete swing characteristics and ball flight .. even mapping the entire ball's flight that why you need a open space like a driving range .. but there is a indoor model called Trackman Launch for indoor use like what BFG has .

this equipment measures the trajectory fm launch to landing...inclusive spin rate...which my layman's view is key to finding the right shaft and ball

can see if your swing especially when its outside in. So sometimes it this that causes the slice in your shots rather than the equipment itself.
