| Drivers come and go... What's the best driver you have tried?? For me, its the 913D2... not the longest but the most accurate for me... Regret selling it...
What's yours?? | |

I have to agree. The Classic 290 is a beast. But I'm trying out the G25 now. Have you tried the Cleveland Classic XL Custom?

No kidding. .. What are the shafts for both drivers?? What's the deciding factor to keep the R or of the bag? Thanks for sharing. ..

Yamaha Inpres X 4.6D Type S until recently. That one gave the best all around distance even on mishits with the best dispersion pattern. It had great roll, but lacked the high launch I wanted more of. Enter the Cleveland CG Black (caught the virus from fellow GRians). Gamed it 3 times already, and each time I'm loving the high launch more and more. What I've lost in roll, I've gained in carry. I'm happy... but must confess I'm casting glances at the Classic XL Custom and wondering.

| I'm also waiting for my Ryoma Premia. Hopefully it will work out to be my 'best' driver Btw, lemme speak for Chien: ahem (clearing throat) will be the Romaro with Basileus shaft. I've witness it yesterday at mbgc, Chien hitting some bombs to 250m ish for a skinny fella! That kinda mid flight draw that goes on and on... | |

| Nike VR Pro limited edition with Fubuki give me the longest distance on driving range. Now gaming with VR Tour 10.5 with PX6.0, very happy with the feel and result. Waiting for my new VR Pro Lmt Edt with Diamana and VRS Covert non Tour to arrive, will play with stock shaft after fail to handle tour ad. | |

| Yamaha D201 is so far my longest driver... However, the 45.75 inch shaft is too long & whippy for my liking(although its a Stiff flex)... In order to drive straight, I have to control my strength and ensure that I have a smooth tempo... If not, it will most likely result in a slice... Still prefer 45inch shaft for better control so grabbed a used 910D2... will try it out tonight... if it fails... the 913 will be in my bag from tmr and that will be my 2nd 913d2 this year... | |

| My current gamer is by far my best combo.
Callaway Razr Fit 9.5 w Tour AD BB 5s
I have a downward angle of attack which affects my carry quite a bit. This combo runs like crazy.
I tested lots of other shafts but due my swing fault, their potentials were not unleashed. I decided that I should just hold off on buying any equipment until I can launch the ball higher.
So the current gamer is my training tool as well as my bomber. Maybe after my swing tweaks, it may also add a few more yards to it.

Couldn't launch it to save my life. The BB is easier to launch. However, get your swing checked out. Per my previous post, I believe that a sounder swing will be able to exploit the benefits of aftermarket shafts more. My out to in, downward AOA swing can never take advantage of ANY aftermarket shafts. A few days ago, while working on the driver at the range, my coach gave me a tip which allowed me to launch the ball higher and eliminated the hook. As such, my current driver/shaft combo seems to be longer. Still working on solidifying this swing change but it seems to be working out quite well so far. To correct the swing, it can never be done on the course. Range practice is still the best.

From what I have been hearing, your weapon of choice is not the driver but your putter. All of your Sunday flightmates were cursing and swearing about your deadly putting. Sinking long putts from everywhere! Hope to see you in action one of these days!
