Hi are you a golf operator in VN? Are you able to help in booking for Ho Tram and golf courses in Danang? Are your rates published rates or lower? Thanks. MTee

- Wilson. Thanks for the help. We did end up paying the club at promotional prices, was cheaper than what we were quoted.
You were right, should not have played at bo chang! traffic was ridiculous!!! and the course was in pretty bad shape. Long Thanh is a very nice course, with pretty decent caddies. I should have asked for help earlier on, and gone with the agent to book everything hassle free. Long Thanh is nice. One of the nicer courses in HCMC i have played. Hoping to get back there soon to play the hill course.
The club with the best caddies I have encountered here in HCMC so far is Vietnam Golf & Country Club. Many single handicap caddies. Agreed... vietnam golf n cc has best caddie. Long thanh caddie has laser gun measuring distance and its course has nice layout and easy to play.

Hi are you a golf operator in VN? Are you able to help in booking for Ho Tram and golf courses in Danang? Are your rates published rates or lower? Thanks. MTee IF you plan to go to Ho Tram just for golf, I would not recommend it. Reason being it: 1. They only 14 flights per day. 7 in the morning, 7 in the afternoon. 2. 1/2 hr between each tee off time. 3. They reserve 3 flights for "VIPs" and open 4 flights out to the public. 4. Due to the fact that they are trying to be an "exclusive" golf course, many people have boycotted the place. And since there is not enough revenue and the casino is losing money, maintenance and upkeep of the golf course is going down. 5. If I recall I think it is like USD$150 per person for weekday. 6. There is NOTHING to do there at night. unless you are really into gambling. 7. IF you really want to play, leave in the morning take the 2 hour drive up, play there and come back to HCMC in the evening. I would suggest to play in Danang. 1. Silkair fly direct to Danang. 2. Has 2 golf courses about 20mins drive away from the city centre and are actually located next to each other. 3. 1 course is Montgomerie Links, the other is Danang Golf. Both links style course and very very beautiful to play. http://www.montgomerielinks.com/ http://www.dananggolfclub.com/ 4. Go to the website and there are promotions if you stay at certain hotel brands that have a partnership with the Golf Course. 5. There is also another course which is on the "border" of Danang and Hue called Laguna Lang Co owned and operated by the Banyan Tree group. this one is about 1.5 - 2 hrs drive from Danang City.

| Couldn't agree more with Winston.
Danang the place to go. For good golfing experience and relaxation by the beach or villa.

| Played at Song Be Golf Resort yesterday. The maintenance of the golf course is going down the drain. Especially for the Palm Course. All tee boxes are covered in sand due to bad drainage and also not flat, greens are uneven due to bad coring, pitch & spike marks not repaired.
Suggest to avoid it. If have no other choice, play Lotus & Dessert.

| Hi Winston, just read all the messages here and now know you are a veteran of HCMC. I am bringing 2 flights of golfers to HCMC golf from 1st-6th Dec. Playing Vietnam GCC, Long Thanh and Jeongsan golf CC. Any inputs of these 3 courses? Also will be staying in Sophia hotel at District 1. | |

| VGCC has 2 x 18 holes. East & West course. Both are matured courses with interesting course designs.
Long Thanh has 2 x 18 holes. Lake and Hill. Both are matured. Lake is relatively flat compared to Hill. Nice course.
Jeongsan is young course. Transport is a hassle as there is limited ferry rides to & Fro unless you book your own ferry / boat which can suit your timing. Driving there is not worth the time. Due to the fact that is the youngest course in HCMC, staff are very inexperienced.

| I just returned from my virgin trip to Vietnam playing Song Be, Long Thang and VG CC. Deeply love Long Thang and VGCC, though i must say Song Be also not too bad.
Quite impressed with Long Thang caddie having individual range finders to provide distance to green.

| Bear in mind that they uses Yards instead of metres as compared to Singapore golf course. So don't be surprised when your irons suddenly appear to hit further. Enjoy the golf there. | |

Quite impressed with Long Thang caddie having individual range finders to provide distance to green. Twin doves caddies also use range finders. For some apparent reason, the course designer did not put distance markers along the fairways. As for meters / yards, just tell the caddy how you prefer the distance to be given, most will be able to convert for you.

| Its the raining season here. Same as Singapore. Only difference is that it gets really nice and cool if you tee off in the mornings. Tendency is for it to rain heavy in the afternoon and light drizzle throughout the day. I personally play more n the mornings during this time of the year. | |

| Hanoi ranges 17-21 degrees now .. by end jan it could be much lower, in my opinion it could be too cold for golf,, i once played 15 degree golf at zhong san china and if there is wind , shivering would be the order of the day . But if you want to go, why not ? | |
