Song Be is currently undergoing renovations so I would agree that it is not as good as what it used to be. However, there are 3* 9 holes so it dose not really have a great impact.

Vietnam Golf CC has 2 * 18 holes and I find it to be very nice. Caters to every ones playing level.

What other courses would you suggest?

1. Do most golf courses and hotels in HCMC accept payment only in Vietnam Dong?
2. Should I change the Vietnamese currency here in Singapore or in HCMC?

1.  All hotels / golf courses accept VND or USD
2. Change nominal sum in Singapore which is enough for you to get from Airport to Hotel than you can change the rest with a Money changer in HCMC.

A rough gauge of rates in HCMC 

SGD$100 - VND1.61 mil
USD$100 - VND 2.4mil

Do note that these are the rates in the city, not the rates at the airport / bank / hotels.

Try Jeongsan Country Club - weekday promotion rate is under 50 usd . Takes 40 minutes to get there by Speedboat (extra cost 15 USD per person) . Guarantee no trafic jam ;0

Twindove is highly recommended . But you will need a car and around 60min drive to get there ;0

Guys, i heard, not confirmed, the ferry service to jeongsan was banned by the government? Is that true?

Not that i know of .. maybe it's about the ferry serrvice to vungtau a while ago , but that has resumed already ,,

Just back from a golfing trip to HCMC. Played on the Vietnam Golf and Country Club, Song Be and Long Thanh Golf Course. IMHO - Long Thanh is the best among the three.

I Brought several group to HCMC golf and strongly recommend play Twin Dove, Long Thanh and Jeongsam. Most players enjoyed these 3 courses. We are going again this early Feb and those of you keen to go in future trip, you can contact me. Our all in rate is competitive with very flexible itinerary. We also covers Hanoi and Danang agenda...

Me and my buddies are thinking of playing a game on the Sunday morning before we leave back to SG in that afternoon. Thus, we are looking for a golf course nearest the airport.

Tan son nhat airport is not open yet. U can play at thu duc and catered 1hr to airport. Weekend is very crowded and u r unlikely to complete in less than 5hrs unless I r 1st flight at 6am. Enjoy.
