Everything okay; what with the typhoon coming....? HCMC is too far down south to be in direct contact of the typhoon. As per the last few years during the typhoon season, we will get hit by strong winds and heavy rains...

Ho Tram has a golf course??????? never knew that.... I thought it was only going to open early next year but this place being Vietnam, I never trust what is written unless I know someone has actually played there than I know it is open for operations. Ho Tram is 18 holes Greg Norman design. I heard 9 holes is ready with possibility opening of full 18 holes within this year. Cheers and Enjoy. BR. MTee

| Dalat has 2 more new courses but both are under construction with 9 holes playable. I 've played both earlier this year. - Sacom Tuyen Lam course : http://www.sacomresort.com.vn/ - Royale City : http://www.royalecity.vn
Facilities are under still construction as well ( Sacom Tuyen Lam just finished their clubhouse) . All of them have spectacular scenic view. Honesly, playing golf under Dalat weather is a golfer dream.
PS :
Hi Winston, hope can play with you sometime in HCM ;0

Single handicap and still losing money? you must be very generous when giving strokes. I must really play with you. BTW, I am only a social golfer. It gets me out of the house and away from the office. And what do you do here in VN?

| Winston, I had a few good rounds earlier this year and it dragged my hdcp from 11 to 7 within 2 months and stayed there since. You have to play many rounds to get the hdcp updated . And I don't practice or play often so my usual score now is in the low 80 meaning 4-8 over hdcp = losing money to my friends which are usually under or even score with their hdcp. I work for an international bank here and cannot get out of office during weekday . Come and be my boss so we can both get out and play ;0 Cheers | |

DGman Enjoy the weather in Hanoi. It should be really cool now for morning golf. Looks like I would most probably catch you back in Singapore for CNY if time permits.

Cheers Like that cannot play with you. I have yet to break 100 after playing for almost 4 years. I am just a social golfer. Not many international banks in Vietanm have a retail licence so I take it you are doing corporate banking? If you are interested in meeting drop me message or your mobile. Can always work something out.

| Weather is getting nice now in HCMC for golf, playing in the afternoon is not as hot as it used to be.
Hanoi weather should be great now for golf.
But to try to play early as it starts to get dark by 5.30pm...

| Bro, i tipped about USD$20 when I was there. But if your caddy is good and helped you make $ off the bets, then another USD$10 will not hurt.
Otherwise, Winston the man to tell ya.
Enjoy your golf! You will love it over there.

| Hi Winston,
Interesting reading your posts.
I'll be heading to Danang next week (1st time to Vietnam) with my 10 year old son to play some golf. Will it be possible to buy 2nd hand balls there, we are playing at at Danang golf club and Montgomerie. We only have our clubs and borrowed two bags from friends here in Spore as we left ours in New Zealand due to weight issues.
Thank you and kind regards,
Jon | |
