- Guys, i heard, not confirmed, the ferry service to jeongsan was banned by the government? Is that true?
Ferry service is suspended because jeongsan did not apply a license for the dock/pier so the govt came down on them as they were operating their own ferry service. Not sure if private boats can dock there.

| I am planning a short golfing trip to Danang in mid May, very small group. it will be a weekday trip, 3-4 days. Those interested please let me know.
If I can't find anyone, might just head to BKK for golf. Anyone can recommend an agent?

For Thailand if golf with transport http://www.golfasian.com/ if just tee booking http://www.thailandgolfers.com/ Prices are posted on the websites, so you can compare. Both actually same company, market differentiation I guess. Enjoy!

| Met up with some golfers on sunday for a game at Long Thanh Golf. Played the Hill course. Yesterday was the first time ever I thanked Godl for the invention of golf buggies. Really hot for the 1st half. Due to many raised / lowered greens, distances all screwed up. However, still managed to play to my usual standard. It must have been with the people I was playing with.
Great company, great golf. Occasional monkeys in the trees did help. And oh yeah, Aim Left!!!!!!!!!

Not familiar about the North, but I do know there is a development of a new golf course in Dalat, central Vietnam. As for the south, the only new development is the golf course located near the airport which is currently under going "Facilities Testing"

| Finally managed to play a game at the "newest" course in HCMC. Blee67 played here before.
It is called Long Bien Golf Course - http://www.longbiengolf.vn/en
Weekday Promo rate of VND1.5m - Including Buggy and caddy (Aprox SGD$100) Weekend Promo Rate VND 2m Including Buggy and caddy (Aprox SGD$130)
It has 4*9 holes. Course A,B,C,D. Very young course with no tress yet. Can be very windy also. Bunkers are the deepest I have seen anywhere. 75% of them are 2.5 - 3m deep. and these are all the green side bunkers. Very undulating course. Luck plays an important part as you may land on the green and yet the ball rolls out due to the undulation. First time I play where by I did not have a single straight putt. even from 2-3 ft from the hole.
No where else have i played where by ALL your skills are called into play. Short game is VERY VERY important here.
Also because of the undulation of the fareways, everyone is forced to take buggy.
Also on most holes you will either see planes landing or taking off and you can hear them as it is next to the main airport's runway.
Young course, easy course but challenging bunkers and greens.
