Sorry bro, if I have miss read or miss understand what you mean. Are you saying that you can hit 230m with your 5W ? I agree with you, to tee off with 5w or 3w to give more consistency in hitting straight and get on the fairway most of the time. However, it also depend what your expectation in scoring. - Can hit GIR on par 5 using 5w to tee off ? Rather difficult. If so, expect to bodges all 4 holes of par 5 .. provided that your 4th shots is close to the pin for a par. any mistake, easily double bodges - Can hit GIR on par 4 using 5w to tee off ? Chances is maybe provided it is not those long par 4 Sorry if I offended you .. This is just my personal opinion for open discussion.

| 5W that can reach a distance of 230M would have no problems approaching the remaining distance for any holes.. eg..a 500m par 5..5W drives 230m..remaining 270m..assuming uses 3W can reach 250M..left 20M for a chip on green. But then again, i think most will tee off with a 3W for accuracy for par 5's instead of 5W. | |

| I can consistently drive 300 yards, but consistently have no idea where that 300 yarder just went!
Whenever there is a par 4 on hand with a distance of 320 to 340 the boys always egg me on for the drive onto green for eagle. I have NEVER made an eagle! I have the distance, but at the sever cost of accuracy.
The vast majority of my golf is played with guys who play off HC's between 10 and 20, and they are between 50 and 65 years old while i am 32. I have never beaten any of them when i comes to gross score.
Distance truly means nothing to the weekend golfer. Even though it does make me feel good!

Wonder why ? then different person liao.. my friend's name is Cho (without the 'i'). On the Nirwana course the first time I played with him, on 3 of the par 5s, he put 2 on playing off blue tees.

Not miss read/understand... This monster can hit it that long (maybe longer) if DGMan is behind him scrutinizing his right sided swing.

I am "really, got eyes but do not know Tarzan". If I can drive 230 m with my 5w and further with my 3 wood .. I agree I will not use my driver man ...
