A couple of qns I need to ask.
1. Is parking there at NSRCC free for members? 2. For weekday 9-holes (non-exec), whats the latest tee-off time? 3. Understand I need to take some golf rules course, how much does that cost? 4. Is there a locker for golf bags? If so, much much does it cost? 5. Is it easy to get cabs at NSRCC in at mornings at 630am? 6. Will you be banned if you somehow KNN with the marshall there? If so, will they refund you the $$$? Cos I ever quarrelled with one MF-er marshall there.
Hopefully UL can ans....

Hahaha! How can a marshall ban you? It's almost like asking if a employee can sack a boss! As far as I can recall, there have been notification of temporary ban (as punishment) for folks who either cheated (sign in others under spouse card) or for dangerous play (ball hitting or almost hitting flights in front). I would think that the marshall is more worried about members complaining about them rather than the member worrying about being banned. Looks like there will be more kakis here fighting for slots at NSRCC soon...

| Handicap transfer is easy - just submit a form to NSRCC (as well as to the organisation currently maintaining your handicap). NSRCC will inform you to attend a mandatory Rules of Golf workshop, and that's it. No Courtesy Rounds required. | |

| pug, 6 months isn't a big deal... why wait if you are seriously considering joining NSRCC? There is additional spending credit ($350 for BASIC members) - the usual promo I think is $288 (if they still have it). Join together with kian and friends, and get an additional $58. This should more than offset the "cost" of 6 months of MGK ordinary membership. Btw, it takes a short while for NSRCC to process your membership, transfer your membership, so an overlap isn't necessary a bad thing. This "Open House" apparently happens only once a year, and you get less spending credit when you apply for a membership outside of this. | |

| Interesting. pug and kian are MGK members, and now thinking of becoming NSRCC members. I WAS a MGK member before I signed up last year... kian, not sure if the group bonus amount is different for the open house, but here is the link that shows the amount. If you are signing up for the weekend membership, the bonus is $138 for 5 years membership. Oh yes, don't forget to use an existing member as an introducer. For BASIC (weekday) membership, only the introducer gets spending credit ($100). For FULL (weekend) membership, both introducer and the new member gets spending credit ($50 for the new member, $200 for the introducer). If you don't have a friend that you intend to use as an introducer, PM me for my details - put me down as an introducer and I would be happy to pay you back the money I get as spending credit as the introducer. Also, if NSRCC has an instalment plan for Citibank, UOB, OCBC and DBS credit card holders. If you opt NOT to go for an instalment plan, ie. pay in full at one shot instead of via installments, you get another $200 credit for the 5-year FULL membership ($100 for BASIC membership). Look forward to playing with you sometime at NSRCC! | |
