| Yesterday after my 1hrs driver training and now my right arm/elbow pain like hell. Cannot move/turn.
Think the best way is to see a doctor n rest for few weeks to prevent from further injury ..

| i had that a year ago. now 85% cured.
dun go range. range is v damaging.
i went to see a TCM for acpuncture. hv 5-6 seesions, didnt play for a week but no range at all for a few weeks. buy gluocasmine cream to apply to elbow. apply 5 times a day.
most important, get a PRO to look at your swing bcos it no use to cure elbow if u dun know what caused the pain.
likely fault is left hand bend at upswing (if pain is at left elbow) or release cock too early n hit the ground first.

wah bro Poresia, though our objective is slightly different, but the execution piece is the same... I think we should both be known as the co-founders of DGR program (Don Go Range)

Mine chronic already. Have already gone to 10 accupunture sessions and off golf for about 4 months already. The result is more tolerable for daily activities. Overall the damage is still there and outlook still doesn't look good. Am about to give up this abstaination and go back and play...sigh

| I play tennis, and when i started, I had such a bad elbow that I cant strenghten my elbow to brush my teeth
The only thing that works for tennis elbow is, rest till inflammation subsides, then do strenghtening exercises.
The link below illustrates a couple of simple exercises you can do to stengthen the elbow region. I have been doing exercises 1,2 and 3. Strenghtening conditioning is the only way to prevent injuries.

Bro Jason, if you are talking about recommendation of Penetrex or having spare bottles to sell the same as peddling of drugs like cocaine and such, I think it is quite out of line. If you search our GR history, there were several threads with regards to elbow injuries and the recommendation of this ointment were favoured by those people who have used it before. Please also refer to their website for the usage of Penetrex. If you are not refering to that when you mention selling of drugs here, my sincerest apologies for jumping the gun. titu http://www.penetrex.com/

| Recently (since a month plus ago) I suffer from Tennis Elbow (left elbow) after I focus my left arm to swing down more incline (to ensure the grip of the club is leading the clubhead) on impact ... I experience new found distance and accuracy. Therefore, I believe it may not be swing fault, and the pain is bearable but I only feel a slight pain when I stretched out my left arm and/or stretched my left arm to carry something. I don't have this problem in the past as I used more lower body to drive the ball. I believe my problem maybe due to a change in swing at impact that my muscle/joint may not be used to it ... In addition, I also corrected my iron swing plane which is now more upright and my left arm is straighter during the takeaway ... A friend of mine who is a Doctor advised that the pain will eventually go away if I let it heals on its own even without any medication and do some stretching will do. He thought this is due to too much repetitive actions within a short timeframe that causes this problem. The joint is subjected to a lot of stress when we swing down at the ball with our arms. May I ask if any of you participated in this thread still has this problem? How you eventually overcome this problem? Thanks in advance. | |

| Am icing my left elbow as I browse this thread also. My physio suggested icing it a few times a day and doing some forearm stretches. Pain always worse after range | |

| Been using this http://www.thera-band.com/store/products.php?ProductID=20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?hl=en-GB&v=gsKGbqA9aNo&gl=SG
to try and treat my tennis elbow, so far it has lessen the pain, been using for 1month+, hopefully will cure it. I prefer to hit off grass rather than mats too. Hitting off mats tend to be harder on my elbow.

| been having this pain on my left elbow too for one month already....that I refrain from golf ranges for 2 weeks + but still game about once a week....admittedly, feeling rather sore again after each game.
my personal remedy which helps to relieve about 30-50% of the pain is to put warm pack around the whole elbow to stimulate blood circulation. this is because my chinese sinsei said its a congestion of the veins...thus we Need to stretch. he suggested doing 1 min hanging on chin up bars as often as I can. tried it over the weekend and together with the heat pack....seems to be healing it progressively faster than just wrist stretching alone.
hope this works for you and that we can heal completely to game our golf more enjoyably!

| I am having tennis elbow for months, initially went to the GP for a steroidal jab and relieve some of the pain and continued golfing
Finally, went to Polyclinic to get a referral letter to AH - Clinic L (in order to get Govt subsidies). Saw Dr.Jimmy Chin and undergo 2 session of Shockwave (ESWT) therapy (3rd session this Wed) and the pain had been greatly reduced.
He also suggest getting PRP (similar to Tiger Woods treatment - drawing blood, spinning the blood and re-injecting into the elbow).
I was given a set of exercises to do by the physiotherapist, PM me your email if your are interested and I can send them to you.

Hi simon Actually if you went to NHG Polyclinics (not Singhealth), they have a physiotherapist at Woodlands and Bukit Batok branch (Hougang too IIRC). I've been seeing the physio at Woodlands for my sprained back from golfing, 90% better after 2 sessions and 1+ week's rest. His name is John Abraham. I'm considering popping down this week or next for my tennis elbow also

| Will do. I mentioned it last week and he asked me to ice it and taught me some stretches but doesn't seem to be as effective as if he does the electric stimulation and ultrasound for my back. Will keep you informed if I do pop down. You can check out their website and call to make an appointment:
