- bro winston..thanks for your hospitality for me and my dad. Truly enjoyed golf and your company today, and not to mention, the best Pho I've had so far!
Glad I could witness your best round yet! Just sharpen your pitching and bunker shots and you'll cut another 10 the next time.
on Song Be: at first when we arrived, you'd think how come so ordinary from the looks of it. However, once I practiced putting, the ball rolled pure and soft. Much better than OCC, MBGC and NSRCC imho. As I played on, I've come to appreciate the course more. Interesting layouts. The hazards/trees are placed smartly. You can see that the designer wants us to think twice before hitting. The greens are small, pin placements tough. Fairways are in excellent cond. Again, the greens are its strongest point, fast and tricky. I had a disaster first nines with many three-putts. Finally got the speed right and putted good on the back nine.
Now my leg aches so bad. Havent walked 18 holes for forever...Bro, where got massage?
Having Montgomery Links and Sea Links on my mind already, till next Spring! alot of places. Just have to know what kind you want...hihihi. WAlk around the night market if you can and there are many "clean" places offering massage. Montgomery links and Sea Link is quite far apart. Montgomery Links (collin montgomery) and The Dunes Course (Greg Norman) are located in Danang which you have to fly, Sea Links is located in Phan Thiet / Mui Ne which is olny accesible by land transport. Im my opinion, Danang would be the place to go.

| This is my breakdown of an average spending of golfing in HCMC.
Green Fees + caddy Fees - average USD$70 (BUggy additional) (Playing weekdays are always cheaper and on GOlf Days, even cheaper) Caddy Tips - USD$5 - USD$10
Booking a car to cater for your transport for golf - USD$50 (Depends on model / type) Taxi is also another option. However, most times I go in friends persoanl cars.
Hotels - if not particular about brand. Have many good, clean "friendly" budget hotels located smack right in the city for USD$30 and above.
If want to know why friendly have " ", send me a pm....
PS: SORRY jimmychoo, still no photos of caddies....

hows the club house? Sorry did not notice your post. Green fees average about USD100 per game (Sat & Sun) (Includes Caddy). On Golf days, it can go as low as USD$40 (Incl Caddy) (weekdays). Normal weekday prices are USD$50 - USD$90. Facilities in the club house are good. Nice lockers, showers, food is decent. Locker room attendents will help you wash your shoes.

| Hi GR members
I have been working in Ho Chi Min City for 4 yrs and counting. I have picked up the game of golf for 9 months already. Love the game, Hate the scores.
The purpose of this post is just to let everyone in the forum know that if any one requires assistance or info about Vietnam, golf & non golf related, I would be more than happy to help out.
If you need arrangements for hotel bookings, golf bookings etc etc, let me know and I would help if time permits. Don't worry, I don't charge for anything. Just trying to return something back to the golfing community.

| Phoenix Golf course is suppose to be the biggest in Hanoi adn it is located about an hours ride from the city. 3 full 18 holes located within its property. Not sure as I have yet to travel up north to play. I am based in HCMC. However I am looking forward to traveling up north soon to play. Please do update on your experience. Thanks BTW: my part time caddy - | |

| Guys,
Anytime you need assistance, just drop me a PM. However, do try to PM me at least a week or so in advance so it allows me time to make the arrangements.
JoeYee,
Since you head up to Hanoi often, maybe you would like plan a stopover in HCMC and have a few rounds??
BTW, from what I have heard, golf in Hanoi is more expensive compared to else where in vietnam, even the tips for the caddies are more. Also, Hanoians bet really really big
