what are you thinking about? i must have spend 2 years in HCM about 15 years ago. of course things have changed since. back then there were few motorcycles and even fewer cars and the girls used to cycle around in their see-through Áo Dài.

the chicken porridge and beef noodles equally good.

ahahaha....that is the same reply I get from many first timers to HCMC. They see in Singapore, arrange to meet in HCMC only to realise why so stoopid to get tied down on the first day. WE can always meet up. I bring you off the beaten path.....

Just an update. The weather in HCMC is starting to get hot. Bring light clothing. It may not be as humid as singapore but due to the lack of trees in the city, it gets very very hot.

Not most....but due to the fact that the population in HCMC is so huge (12 mil) they seem to be everywhere.

A quick report on sunday's game at Dong Nai Golf Resort

Locate a good 2 hours drive from HCMC. Has 3 * 9 holes. Course A,B & C

Club House is old and so are the facilities. The sunday I was there, there was a tournament in the morning. Not enough lockers and not enough caddies.

A course hugs the water.
B course has alot of harzards in the middle of the hole
C course is hilly.

The one common thing between the 3 courses are it has many many dog legs. One hole is even a double dog leg (left than right) to get to the green. Many holes provide an opportunity for you to cut the corners or go for the so called "tiger Line" I tried on many holes and I must say I was lucky on most cases whereby a drive lands me less than 100yds from the green. If you are looking for eagles / birdies, this is the course to go to.

Tees - red/white/blue/gold

Fairways & roughs

Fairways are ok. Slightly dry, abit hard. "Average width"

Fairway roughs are almost bare. You see patches of earth between the patches of grass. groun is hard.

Greenside roughs are a mix of deep rough as well as "fairway rough" style.

Greens

Very very challenging to say the least not because of design style but I think more due to the fact of poor maintenance.

Sory no pictures, camera battery was flat so couldnt take any.
