| The shipping via ems is really quick. For Japan to sg. I think 2-3 working days only.
The speed for sellers to dispatch out the goods varies from seller to seller.
All in all, I find that the experience buying from overall pleasant. Happy Christmas shopping.

I like Tourspecgolf. But the owner is a white guy? repost from other topic:
Hi,
I am not sure what kind of response u expect from the GR community when u start criticizing Japanese having poor English, and using color to describe a person's ethnicity/ race. This is a friendly forum and I would think that we have many GRians that are not of the same nationality and/ or ethnicity as you; therefore please be sensitive. OK this is not about the color of your skin or anything like that. BTW I'm not racist. I really like Japanese culture from the food to their manga stuff. I have been to Japan twice anyway. But when I got an email like this, it bothers me! - Quote :
Thank you for contact.
Product I have shipping.
I do not know the cause that has been delayed.
You contact us if you know something. I'm having a problem with the shipping (it shipped on 28/11 and I have yet to receive it today, the last tracking status is in Osaka ) and that's the response I got. Contact us if you know something??? And this is not the 1st time. I have done shopping more than 5 times all from Japanese seller on Ebay and Rakuten. The order processing time is rather slow (3 days to 2 weeks). Maybe the people here who are happy with their orders only bought small stuffs (grips, balls, accessories). All my orders are JDM clubs. PS: I SHOP AT RAKUTEN GLOBAL WEBSITE. Of course I don't shop at Rakuten Japan because everything is in Kanji (please don't call it "Jap wording").

| Dude.. I am not surprised you are always having problems with your purchases online. I am sure you pissed off everybody whom you bought any item from. Just as you are beginning to irritate many here. 1. You started generalizing all Japanese as slow and stupid. I have done shopping more than 5 times all from Japanese seller on Ebay and Rakuten. The order processing time is rather slow (3 days to 2 weeks). Better start learning English properly if you want to serve customers from other countries. Otherwise, I think they shouldn't make a global rakuten website. Just make a website for Japanese customers in kanji.2. You hold more regards about the skin color of people whom you deal with. But the owner is a white guy?3. You then started bragging and labelled all here as petty shoppers with your condescending remarks. Maybe the people here who are happy with their orders only bought small stuffs (grips, balls, accessories). All my orders are JDM clubs. Just with this 3 points I can safely say you are a narrow minded snob who thinks the whole world owe you something.. Perhaps you should visit Japan more than TWICE as you have so correctly boasted.. (wow TWO TIMES already !!??) Grow Up ! If you don't like to deal with Japanese don't buy their clubs and don't even deal with them.. ! Go buy Titleist or Callaway ! | |

I found your post is very offensive!!! Since when I mentioned that Japanese people are slow and stupid???? What I said the ordering process is slow. It doesn't necessarily saying that the people is slow... It's a different meaning. And no, I don't had any problems on every items I purchased online. Only some.... especially from Japan. So when I said I visited Japan twice and then I became a snob? wow!!! So you think I'm a really rich fella who can go to Japan twice? What kind of narrow minded person are you? You don't have to be rich to go to Japan. It could be because the company is paying for your trip? You are the one who need to grow up.... learn some manners too. So If I don't like the service, I can't buy some Japanese clubs? What kind of narrow minded are you? How about improving the service??? So IF I buy from a Japanese seller, I should start learning kanji?? wow!!

I think you should quit golf..... we need fewer people like you in golf. And wow!! the posts are rather defensive of Japan rather than helping and giving other solutions. If a Japanese seller thinks like this guy, good luck expanding your business.

| I would like to share my version of shopping on Rakuten after the very unpleasant comment by some egocentric guy..
I once bought a pair of Mizuno shoes online from one seller on Rakuten. My fault that when the shoes came about a week later, it was a tad too big. (i couldn't try before ordering as I could not find the same model in Singapore and when I was in Tokyo)
I emailed the seller and told them I bought a size too big. They didn't agree to give me a discount, and I had to pay for the shipping back to them.
They didn't charge me for sending me another pair and in the 2nd shipment, they put in a pair of gloves as a gift of appreciation and a small note to thank me for the purchase. This is something small, but I truly appreciated.
Another instance when I bought some other items I received a small bell and a paper crane as gifts of appreciation.. I don't know any seller who would go an extra mile to show appreciation for some buyer whom they don't know personally.
In life, it is more important for us to show appreciation, respect and understanding to the other party, than to expect and demand what others should do for us.

| What is the point of this "egocentric" story?
My complain is about the order processing time and not about replacing the wrong item which the seller sent. Many ebay sellers did that to me many many times in the past. I even got a full refund for receiving the wrong item (the good thing, I still keep the wrong item).
What I think Rakuten global should improve in the future if they want to be considered a Global online shopping website like ebay and Amazon: - pleeease send the email in English ...... not in Kanji. (even when I requested an email in english, I still received something with 1/2 english 1/2 kanji). - Speed up the order processing time for all sellers. We don't know which seller is a fast shipper or a slow shipper. All we know we buy it from Rakuten global website. We are interested in buying the specific product not the seller.
Other than that, everything is pretty OK. The price is good. The shipping rate is acceptable. I have nothing against Japanese people.
That's all!!! How hard can it be?

| Superputt,
After reading your posts carefully I think I understand how u feel, you feel that you are after all a VIP customer (buying JDM clubs) and a very forgiving one (giving Rakuten 5 times to get their act together). You are after all the very few in Singapore that buys JDM clubs from them. You should write in or call their VIP section and demand that they serve you proper. I don't think I can direct you to the Rakuten VIP section as I am only buying tees from taobao.
I tried bringing a dog to the range earlier (which was why I couldn't respond to your posts in a timely manner) but without Rakuten VIP status, my dog was not allowed and he was barking non stop (hopefully he didn't disturb anyone especially someone like you).
Please let us know how you fare with Rakuten but I am sure they would be more than happy to listen to what you have to say.

| Start doing your own research and know what you are getting into before spending your money instead of just sitting there complaining.
I have bought JDM iron sets from Rakuten on 3 separate occasions and each time shipping was within 3 working days, and within 5 working days from placing an order.
Note I am not a VIP (heck, I'm not even a registered Rakuten member)
It seems like you don't understand how Rakuten works in the first place.
First and foremost I believe Rakuten is a portal to serve domestic Japanese sellers - to help them connect and sell globally. Not to serve global customers to purchase Japanese domestic products.
***** Rakuten acts as a portal for individual sellers. ***** Rakuten serves sellers. Sellers serves us. Rakuten does not serve us.
I purchased items from SellerA through Rakuten. and NOT I purchased items from Rakuten sourced from SellerA
In your paypal invoice / credit card statements, Rakuten is NEVER mentioned (at least not for mine), only individual seller's name. When you purchase through Amazon, the word AMAZON is always stated.
Geddit?????
you ARE buying from specific sellers and you ARE NOT buying from Rakuten which only acts as a portal. In that sense Rakuten have no control how fast sellers process their orders.
Just learn to know which seller has an English speaking person to assist or simply drop an email to the seller in English before committing to buy. Or are you always in a hurry in each of those 5 times that you can't even wait to drop them an email and wait for a reply to decide if its okay to buy from them? If you are not happy with their command of English, no 1 is placing a knife at your throat to force you to buy.
Also there's a logo that shows if the seller "welcome foreign buyers" which I personally never had any problems with such sellers. *these sellers under declare and I never had to pay for tax.*
Sometimes we just have to take 1 step back and appreciate that such a portal exists for us to buy products from Japan. Understanding that nothing is ever perfect and you will be a happier person.
Like Chien said, if you don't like it, don't buy from them.

| Just received my driver bought via rakuten. Shipped within 5 days of order (to allow time for seller to advise and for buyer to confirm freight) and delivered within 2 days of shipping date. Totally satisfied! | |

| Ems has tracking, which I found was rather prompt tagging and updating the status. However sadly the same cannot be said after the parcel is handed over to singpost. On this front, I hope singpost can improve their service overall. | |

The more i read about your posts, the more i have an issue holding back on not being polite.
Chien spoke from his heart how many of us feel about your posts and he is certainly right in many areas.
Evidently, you are not familiar with the Japanese culture and they way they work.
They are a nation proud of their language and ethics. Speaking good english is not part of their DNA but is becoming an essential skills nowadays.
I run a JDM setup and i know that dealing with them.
They are NOT Singaporeans and they don't complain. They will be polite and move to provide service recovery on any customers' unhappiness.
If you are truly unhappy about buying japanese stuffs from Rakuten, there is always eBay or other portals internationally that you can buy from.
Heck!
you can buy from me! haha. i speak good English!
I will also be happy to help you procure any JDM, throwing in good communication and customer service.
Best Regards

| Can anyone advise how much would the shipping be if I buy a golf bag from jap sellers thru rakuten? About 3kg but I suppose the cost would be more on size volume than weight for this.... Much thanks in advance! | |
