| Depends on what you want, the market itself is bigger there so generally cheaper. However sometimes with the specials and depends on who you know in Singapore, you could get some amazing deals here too. | |

| Golf stuffs in Japan are not really cheap but there are a lot more brands and selection there. Can also buy apparels which are more suitable for Asian sizes. | |

| If you are in Tokyo, then I would say definitely not cheaper. If you are in the smaller cities or towns, it might be worthwhile popping into Golf Partner to see what 2nd hand deals they have.
I was in the town of Fuji and found some very good offers.

| From the HK site, below remark from some golfers:
I was there last month and it's very cheap. Goto the ones in Ueno as it's more centralized.
[ltr]http://tax-freeshop.jnto.go.jp/eng/shop ... yword=golf[/ltr]
Thoughts to share, price at KOTOBUKI GOLF is negotiable and cheapest (from my experience last month.) Price at golf partner and festival golf are identical (MSRP) and non negotiable.
Victoria golf has CHEAP used equipment but they are usually in odd locations that's out of the way.

Victoria golf has CHEAP used equipment but they are usually in odd locations that's out of the way. Just back from Japan and bought some stuff, so thought I'd chime in. Check out Golf Partner near Kyobashi (near Tokyo Station) for used stuff, may score a good price for a relatively new piece of used club. I got a XXIO8 3 wood for 26k yen which looks almost new, with stock stiff shaft (best price I saw new was 35k yen). Did a lot of walking around when I was there. So far the best prices I got was at UENO. The shops in Shinbashi were located all over the place, and the selection at each shop was not great, whereas UENO was all clustered along one small side street. I second Kotobuki Golf in UENO. The prices are comparable to Festival Golf and they have a great selection. Got a new Ryoma Maxima D-1 and new XXIO8 5 wood here. They packed everything very nicely and I had it delivered to the airport for a small fee (less than SGD $20), so no need to lug it to airport. They even tapen small carrying handles on the box for easy carrying! Bring your passport along to get tax exemption. Bic Camera and Victoria Golf (Shinjuku) prices were more expensive than at UENO, so dropped by to look see, but didn't buy anything in the end. As a comparison, tax free for XXIO8 fairway wood was 40k (best price) vs. 35k at UENO.

| Just came back from Fukuoka last week. Went to Daimaru for general shopping. Saw set of Srixon Z545 irons and hybrid with Miyazaki Blue graphite shaft. Cannot recall I saw such combo in Singapore. Tried at the in-shop golf simulator. Great service. Not pushy at all. Tried again the next day. Eventually bought the iron set and and 3 hybrid after some bargaining and given 25% discount. A good shopping experience. | |
