Titu This is the infamous hole which I played with some GR folks not too long ago and I overhit the green. Ball landed on the other side. I could see my ball in the marshy basin beyond the green and decided to try and reach it using my putter. Before I could even do so, a snake slithered by the marsh. I flipped out and conceded the ball to its watery demise. So, be warned. It's not just the water which scares golfers. The wildlife (buayas included) are just as threatening.

| Haha bunker shots gotta practice quite a bit. The idea is to hit 1 or 2 inches behind the ball, and push the sand to push the ball unto the green i.e. the ball is just one big grain of sand. If the target line is straight ahead at 12 o'clock, your feet should be open i.e. parallel to 10 o'clock of the target, your clubface should be open i.e. 2 o'clock of the target, ball slightly infront of center and accelerate through impact. That's not including slope of bunker, and lie of ball. So I also scared!!! | |

Titu the problem is the green slops from the back. If i up one club, balls sometimes roll out of green. Need to use super bite balls but worry that i slice/hook it into water. Winless situation. Just hit

| My stupid overly clever mentality is this: Sequence change of thougths:
1. Wah..wind so strong...need to give low flight ball....
2. NB....ok lah.....steady...take 6 iron, grip down and put ball behind stance.
3. Swing.... .....ball hit green and then roll to behind and 'bloop blooop'.....go water....

| You got to play this hole high and land the ball soft.
that would be how i would play this hole. the green slopes all the way round and down. once it rolls too much... TOK NAM!!

| Up one club, swing easy, should be ok. dun try to spin or check the ball, cos if misshit, it will be sure trouble. Last week, i sort of top it but it still remain on the green. | |

| I have seen a guy who drops a full plastic bag of golf balls on the tee-box before he goes for the shot... Think he is trying to convince himself that he have more than ENOUGH balls to make sure he get onto that green! hehe... Of cos... he did not finish the whole bag of balls... just throw there for the sake of fun and laughter.. | |

Just hit Yeah I always try to hit the ball as high as possible so that it could land softer thus the extra club. Well it works for me Titu

| a small survey for mbgc gamers, who hits backward (towards the tee or the entrance to the bunker) when your ball is in one of those deep pot bunkers?
I tried hitting forward, but the bunkers are just too damn deep! Might as well take one extra shot to the back than taking 3 swings forward and you're still in there. I've seen many flight mates taking a 10 on a hole due to pot bunkers.
my pro said you have to square the club to get out high, stance not open so much. I tried once, it worked but couldnt repeat it since..

| Facts I found out about the swing test at MBGC:
1. Valid for 1 month if PASS is given (in this case, they keep a copy of the test paper and you keep one too so if you play again within 1 month, just show it to them to verify on their record) 2. Vaild for 1 day if given a FAIL 1 Day Pass (in this case, you don't get to keep a copy and they will keep both copies, you will be allowed to play on the course and keep up with the pace of play and if you are struggling real bad, they will take you out immediately) 3. If given FAIL with no admittance to golf course, then you either go and get yourself a range card and buy range balls and start practicing hard or you either just leave the place to avoid embarassment (my personal favourite)
Different days, different times at MBGC will be different people taking the test,so it depends on who you get and how easy/hard they go on you (see you suay or heng).
Last time tests conducted by Star Golf Academy pros, put pressure on people a lot, now test conducted by MBGC staff on duty lagi best because they don't present themselves like pro so no pressure.
They probably get some people in the office who know nuts about golf to watch you during your test.

| This man will ask you to swing your 7 Iron and he will pass you based on your shot. Hit it reasonably straight, no horrible shanks or slice and you should be fine. | |

| MBGC staff are not strict cause they know we are all casual players. The tester even told me to take it easy and have fun in golf cause we are not pros and we are too old to become pros even if we want to even saw him give tips to a guy who kept slicing during the test (good distance and flight but keeps fading/borderline slice onto the net) took test a few times liao, as long as the ball flies, they dont really care if it travels a shorter distance. Nice easy swings Seen a few that swing so hard they miss the ball, ball roll over and off the platform or worst hit the railing and fly backwards!!!!! | |
