| Hi, like to check somethings regarding the swing test at MBGC
1) Can I take the swing test in advance, e.g. if I want to play on Thur can I take the swing test on Wed?
2) What is the latest time I can do the swing test - I understand that I have to go to some counter (where) to tell them I wana do the swing test rite? What time does it close?
Reason being, I'm thinking of going to tryout MBGC on Thur morning (1st time playing 18 hole course), but I like to do the swing test on Wed night (if possible) so that it would not be very rush on Wed morning. But I can only go down after work.
Thanks in advance. | |

| You can do so anytime within a month before your game... Go to the golf registration counter and tell them you need to do a swing test, they should issue a receipt and a piece of 'checklist' paper to you. Bring the checklist to the range on the same floor, at the bay nearest to Star Academy Office and ask for the pro who will help certify the swing test. Bring along your most confident iron will do. You will be ask to warm up with a couple of balls then you will be ask to hit the ball towards a certain target. Hit the target anot... you will eventually get your swing test passed . Then he will tell you some basic course etiquette to prevent you from hogging up the play. Better play with someone who is more experience, then you wun feel so lost | |

| I believe you can take the swing test anytime you are there. You can take the test on the day of golfing. Just be there about 30mins early. It's pretty fast as you will be watch over by someone authorised by MGBC. After registering/payment at the counter, go to driving range with a 7i and Pw (I think). There's a small office on the left. Tell the person you are taking the swing test. You can then proceed to pound away at the complimentary balls (if available) on the 1st 3 bays ( if I remember correctly). The tester will approach and monitor your swing.
It should be relatively easy. You will then be issue a receipt that is valid for 1 month if you intend to play MBGC again.
Cheers! | |

| Hi,
I'm a newbie too. You guys mentioned that the swing test is only valid for one month. Does that mean that I have to do another ST when i wish to play few months down the road @MBGC?
Thanks

| Great! I might go there and play a round this week.
Do i still need to book the flight before hand, or can i just walk-in?
Thanks, another newbie here =) | |

| i believe they accept walk-ins, however, it'd be good to just give them a call to find out what the available timings are.. because two scenarios can occur: 1) suay suay the flights are all full, then they won't be able to slot you into any flights for the day.. (chances of which, are not very high) 2) you go there at 10am, but the next available slot where they have unfilled flights is at 2pm, then you have to wait for nothing..
