| Another driver from Taylormade has made the USGA conforming list of drivers today and it looks really wild. Looks like they're trying to simplify their movable weight system by allowing golfers to adjust the weight from heel to toe through a weighted sliding track versus screwing them in. Photos and more info here:

| Looks like the older Mizuno MP-600 driver, or at least has a similar concept. That didn't get Mizuno too far now, did it? Well, at least not their MP-600 anyway. | |

I kinda like their Matt white finish... I have a feeling TM are going to keep both the white and black cards up their sleeves and play them interchangeably to keep the numbers up.

| I guess you could be right
Honestly with the TM staff professionals, they can play with anything TM gives them Black or white, adjustable or non adjustable
It's us hackers, we buy the latest and greatest or what we see the professionals are using because we are buying 'hope' just like our other half buying SKII, Laniege etc...

I used to think so but not so much these days. I used to hunt for draw-biased drivers thinking that they'd help. But as it turns out, I felt that they were more gimmicky. They've never done too much good for me and while I was able to get the ball on the fairway then, I suspect it was more due to a good shot than the nature of the golf head. These days, I just play a normal stock driver. Works fine. I do slice the ball every now and then but I realize that it's more due to a poor swing than anything else. Best of all, I'm also sure that a draw-biased driver wouldn't help keep the ball in play. It's just the way things work. Separately, I've also learned that many golfers with adjustable drivers play them on neutral/stock settings. While it's fun to tweak the club every now and then, I suspect that many actually play off neutral. So, while I admit that technology has become more prevalent in the game, I think that the more discerning golf can distinguish between marketing fluff and the real deal. Well, I could be mistaken - after all, if brands like TM believe otherwise, who am I to say anything.

Bro, I don't think we are allowed to change the playing characteristics of the club in the middle of a round leh... Check with other rules of golf gurus here... But I also like that idea. :p

| Yup, you can't change the characteristics of your clubs midway through the round.

I believe in skills too, though technology might help some golfers. That's why I am still using irons that were more than 10 years old.

| I have to agree with the classics and I am old school myself. I believe if the swing is correct, clubs will work whatever you use.
improvements will be short game and putting

| Find these tech things are confusing the hell out of new golfer like me. The adjustable loft thing, the loft got change meh? Like what one of my kaki said....7 adjust 8 wrong. Even adjustable, i feel should let the club fitter looked at and adjust. Maybe it's just me. | |

| So they actually debuted the SLDR driver last week at the John Deere Classic and Scottish Open. Taylormade put out a pretty cool video showing the tour pros reactions to the club:

| Hey everyone, looks like Taylormade just officially announced the SLDR last night and released a bunch of in depth videos explaining the technology, etc. Very interesting, it's suppose to be available in stores around August 9 or August 16, so might be worth giving it a try if you have time.... or wait for some cheap R1 blacks http://www.eighteenunderpar.com/taylormade-sldr-official-specs/ | |
