Hey all, Taylormade just debuted the new SLDR Mini Driver at the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral.... pretty interesting, details are limited, but it looks to have a deep face and a ~250CC head with 12 degrees of loft. It's looking like a competitor to the Callaway "Deep" series of fairway woods. One thing is for sure though, we love the look of it! Matte grey is awesome http://www.eighteenunderpar.com/taylormade-sldr-mini-driver/

Interesting... usually I hit better with 3W than my driver.... wondering if this could be the replacement for my driver.

I am thinking the same but Taylormade......... Used to be a fan of TM but the values drop so fast that I have decided to stay away from TM products.

Will test when it is available. I tend to go for performance, if it works, I will still consider. But I must agree that value drop too much too fast, I have a few TM drivers in store room now.

@neutral, can use your TM clubs to hang underwear.
I have got rid of all my TM clubs liao. Don't think I will ever start another collection. hehe

If this mini driver can double as a fairway wood, and is not difficult to hit off the deck, that means can carry one club less.
Have to agree that TM is innovative and their clubs are usually not difficult to hit.

one of our team members here got a Callaway 3 Deep last year, it is unreal off the tee with the taller face. while testing against other fairway woods, it was about 20 yards further last year. but a bit harder to hit off the deck... it's a great club.
should definitely check out the x2 hot 2 deep and this SLDR mini driver when they are released, should be interesting!

Hey all, looks like the SLDR MINI DRIVER has been officially released by Taylormade.... designed specifically for The Masters.... sound familiar? lol, reminiscent of Phil and Phrankwood last year...
