Dunno what ball to try next under $40/box. If you still wants TP Blacks, you can get the 2nd hand ones from bro Nemo. His balls are all of very good conditions, almost new.
However, if you prefer new balls, i suggest you go for e5+. It's the only 2-piece ball with urethane cover, good distance off the tee & soft around the green. You can get them for $35 per doz in many places. Thanks bro, i might consider the e5+ when i've finished my last few boxes of TP Blacks.

| Finally got to play the e6+, e7+, and treosoft side by side for about 6-7 holes. Among the three, I think that the e6+ is the straightest but also the shortest. The treosoft went the farthest for me - about 10 additional yards on my drives and about 5 yards on my irons. I'm not sure if it was because I just happened to be striking the ball better with the treosoft but the increase in yardage was pretty consistent. The e7+ was pretty much in between the two for me.
In terms of softness, the treosoft was the softest of the lot. As for chipping around the greens, none of these balls were great but if I had to pick one, I would probably say that the treosoft did marginally better than the other two.
Just my two cents worth.

- All Bros,
I have been hearing about the fake ProV1 from China (at least thats what I heard).
Does anyone have a fake ProV1, I would like to have a look at it.
I need to counter check with my stock (about 350 balls).
I would really appreciate the help.
I believe it not fake but just refurbished cause from the description I gather, the Titleist print on the ball is not like the oringinal.
Anybody???? a work mate bought some fakes for us....looks different (the printing is not as sharp (smuggy lines), font a bit different and positioning slightly out). did a drop test with a real ProV1x and it bounce less. Its at work though so no pis now.

| For those of you interested in the TP Red LDP, Golf House at Great World City is selling the gold box special edition ones for $34.80 per box. I've just tried it, they're very nice. In fact I prefer the Red to the Black as they're softer and I find the distance just as good. | |
