| Balls.... Balls.... and Balls. I know most of us used 2nd stuff, myself included. In choosing the balls, do you care the brand that you buy? Do you just pick and choose the cheapest?
Lot of people like Titleist Pro V1. Yes, they are expensive. Personally, I prefer Callaway. I find them softer. My colleagues, thinks otherwise.

| I personally like the Wilson Staff Fifty and the Srixon Soft. They're both got a nice feel off the putter. The Wilson is very long off the tee. The Srixon, on the other hand, has some real bite with the short irons. Very good stopping power on the greens.
I found a Wilson Profile Feel ball during a round and tried it. Surprisingly good bite on the short irons too.

| If the need to have a slightly more yardage due to kiasu-ism and also face problem, then will use my depleting stock of NxT.....but even after that, still most times shorter than most of my flight mates......I am officially known as Pee-Shooter...
But NxT is the ball of choice for me for the soft feel. ProV1 cant make it coz not enough head speed.

| Previously I used NXTs, now changed to srixon ad333 and soft feel. Good distance, consistency and feel.. but unlike grooveballer, i find that it doesn't bite very well. Ball just keeps rolling when i chip.. Full iron swings are ok.. probably 3 bounces then it stops but i think that's becoz my ball flight is very high in the first place.
Anyone tried the bridgestone e5+ or b330s? Reviews seem quite good but i can't seem to find 2nd hand ones..

| I just use any golf balls I can find. Nothing spectacular. However, I just got myself a box of TopFlite Gamers which I think are decent low-end balls.
Anyway, Titleist V1 and V1xes were going for $78 at the Golf House in Funan over the last few weeks. I'm not sure if it's still selling at that price but for those who are keen, it's a good buy.

| I used to use Ken Balls (new or used) or ANY abandoned balls I found on golf courses. I liked Ken golf balls as I could always identify my ball cos not many others used that brand. Unfortunately, Ken golf balls were discontinued a few years ago. Low-end Noodle, Top Flight, and Precept balls are okay--cheap and good. After reading about how quickly golf balls go bad if submerged in water too long or become out-of-round from multiple clubface impacts or how damaged ball surfaces can effect ball flight and consistency, I now try to buy new golf balls whenever possible. I still am tempted to splurge some cash on used golf balls though whenever I see those large baskets/buckets of used golf balls often only S$0.50 or less each at pro shops like EGC or Far East Shopping Centre. | My impression on Callaway balls, is rather good. For me it is soft feel, it gave me a lot of good distance on good hits and it really rolls. | |

Have you tried the Tour ix? I heard that they're pretty good and not as expensive as Pro V1x.

| i like the prov1 and prov1x... but i mostly use 2nd hand ones as they are too expensive to lose. i like the feel of these on the irons and during putting.
i also like the NXT extreme... very good distance and quite durable. i played a round with a single NXT extreme on Sat... after hitting the cart path on a couple of holes, there were some scuff marks, but generally playable (and i scored my 2nd best round of 2009). but they don't tend to bite as well.
For the run-of-the-mill ball, i have recently started using Srixon AD333... i think the AD333 holds better on the green than the Soft Feel, but of course can't compare to the proVs.

| i second tm black for me is good! somehow its a tad more durable than your prov1's and v1x's. Is it because of the LDP techonology? I dont know. Precept u-tri tour is pretty good as it spins like mad, but i dont know, maybe cuz its phased out/old = ages very quickly and not durable. | |

| For me it's going to be the TP Red LDP.
But met Sunny the other day and was told it's not conforming.
Anyway, love the ball.
