i am going there on next tue blue or black tee? i play like a beginner.. handicap is 30+ .. wht u think? ha ha 30? u lady??? now men's handicap is max at 36. women at 40 .... u got your in sg??? anyway when i said green lightning fast........better be prepared....1st time when i played there, on the green putt until off the green.
yes. under SGA.
ok ok . thanks oic....i mountain tortoise lah. anyway enjoy your games. going on sunday. the clubhouse nice but the drinks there damn ex. i also used to think max for men is 24 until i received my handicap.. think SGA follows USGA handicapping below is extract from USGA website: Handicapping FAQs Section 3 Maximum Handicap Index Q. What is the maximum Handicap Index for men and women? A. The maximum Handicap Index is 36.4 for men and 40.4 for women (18.2N and 20.2N for a nine-hole Handicap Index, respectively). •The Course Handicap could convert to a number higher than the maximum Handicap Index. Example: A Handicap Index of 36.4 on a course with a Slope Rating of 145 would be 47 (e.g. 36.4 x 145 / 113 = 47 Course Handicap). •Anything above the maximum Handicap Index must be designated with an “L” for local club use only (e.g. 45.0L). •Anything set below the maximum Handicap Index for an event is a condition of the competition (e.g. maximum USGA Handicap Index for event is 25.0).

- i last played at NSRCC. ok leh.. thought as long you can find your handicap under SGA website. is a valid handicap??
http://www.sga.org.sg/HandicapFiles/HandicapRegView/tabid/243/Default.aspx
As long as SGA give should be ok. Anyway advice for HH, try to land the ball on the apron and let it roll in the green. HH green is so hard that even u lob your ball, there's no ball pitch mark, but I like this kinda of green

Eventhough I know some members did not even played like 24 hcp . They are quite strict especially for wkend.

No idea....perhaps u should ask some other clubs members? But anyway local clubs wkends are extremely ex. Even got hcp also don't wanna play. Can play so many round in JB with dinner but of course the jam can really be a pain in the arse.

my kakis also say it has the current best fairway in JB. But most expensive & crowds as well compare with the likes of Palm Villa and Palm Resort. Anyway target is to play and sample most of JB course and nasi lemak! BTW where else do you reckon for slower and newbie player beside HH, poresia, ponderosa? Have fun!

| Thought the discussion is frenly course for newbie. HH is tough course compare to others, and expensive!!! Palm Villa will always be the first choice for newbie. If looking for slower pace golf course, you may need to go farther from JB, maybe Legends or Orchard. Weekday is always recommend, less crowd and you may try playing 2 balls. | |

| i always thought that HH is a competition golf course for the Pros... so haven't thought of venturing into it... and look at the price also a bit out of my budget...
anyway nasi lemak is definately my favourite food around here... but there is an Ipoh Charcoal Roast Duck near HH is quite nice... Quite similar to the original one i had in Ipoh years back... it is between HH and Jusco Bukit Indah, driving from HH, it will be on your right hand site.
Enjoy!!! | |
