| The Marketing Culture is not to be taken lightly. When you conduct a business, everything has to be done right and every word must be mentioned right. I am sure all here will be familiar by now... one wrong word said. You get torn into pieces by the vultures out there.
In my personal opinion, 3 brands/companies have gotten their marketing right to be that successful today.
1. Apple. nuff said. But it is true that Apple might lack its punch as no one else but Steve Jobs can make u desire so badly for something you do not need.
2. Starbucks. They are only selling coffee. Same source of beans as the other companies. But why are they the only making so much money? Branding.
3. Victoria Secrets. There was models. Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford creates the generation and high level of Super-Models. VS has created something even better; The Angels. Not only they got people wanting to buy their products, they also got people begging for a job in the company. Although it is questionable that they may have it the easiest since 'sex sells' but you also got to give them credit for creating new markets. Aside from selling lingerie for special occasions like V-Days and Weddings, they also create new demand for their products during, Christmas, Halloween and even SEASONS! Swim wear for Summer and lingerie for winters!!
Above is just my opinion and I will be more than happy to discuss/debate further on details and points. We can even take out research material to compare especially for VS...
But locally, I know 2 people who are damn solid in their marketing.
1. I will leave this person unnamed but he knows who he is. I will just say that this person could easily convince cow that Wagyu is the best meat for a cow eat.
2. Kong Hee. Com'on. I have not met anyone else who can actually convince people to not only give him money but actually defend him as well. "Hey! I gave him my money and he can whatever he wants with it! He can use the money to wipe his ass and I do not care. I gave him the money and I trust him with it."

| On that point, I know of another forum which had a post about an old man and speculation as to whether he'd show up on a day of celebrations. That thread raked in a crazy number of views and replies. Didn't make the prediction right though. | |

| Do you know what is wrong with some people here?
They are too slow to catch on a trend or they do not know how to start a trend. When they do, they do it poorly and in poor taste that just pisses people off.
Moral of the story.
Know what you do best and stick to it. If you want to 'expand', then give it more thought the next time, do it and prove me wrong. But no guarantee that there will not be more jerks like me continue putting you down. Plenty of us out there.

| Overheard this conversation that day between whom-I-suspect-is-a-pimp and whom-I-suspect-is-his-girlfriend at a red-light district...
I saw the lady trying to reorganise her wallet and to free her hands while she it tidying up the order of her notes, she stuck a couple of bills into her mouth...
Whom-I-suspect-is-a-pimp, "Hey, take that money out of your mouth. There are germs on it! It is so unhygienic."
Whom-I-suspect-is-the-pimp's-girlfriend, "Priest Lor. The money you make is so dirty that even germs are not able to live on it!"

| SRSLY. If you want the thread to die. Just ignore it. It will die eventually.
Even the solid threads of discussion of authentic tour issue equipment and game threads, no matter how hot or relevant the subject is, the thread will just die eventually.

| After a busy weekend of family time and buying good friends Fish Head Curry, it's time to get back into the week.
To start off your Monday;
Meat Eater = Carnivore (Tiger) Vegetable Eater = Herbivore (Cow) Meat / Vegetable Eater = Omnivore (Pig)
Meat / Vegetable Eater that never stops eating = Omnomnomnomnivore (Kian)
