Furyk's upslope chip was hot and straight, hitting the flag stick and stopped close. Else would have overshot.

Tiger's chip with the putter took an extra hop on the fringe and stops short well below the pin.

Ironically, the organisers watering the course to make it slower and friendlier after 2 days of carnage is actually causing a lot of the players to drop strokes as they fail to adjust.

Tiger misses the putt, drops to +1.

Furyk makes his par putt. Sole leader at even.

Meanwhile at the 5th, Gmac also at +1, finds the left rough at the green.

Jim's lead is in danger as he finds the rough at the 4th par 4 423 yard.

With tricky lie, ball on fairway but fringe catching the club just behind the ball, Tiger's chip comes out hot and stops above the pin. He faces a tough downhill putt and may drop a stroke.

Jim's 7 iron and Tiger's 6 iron both find the green past the flag which is cut in front today.
