| US Open start next week and confirm pairing for the round 1 already getting existing. This is going to be a great show;
[SAN FRANCISCO – How's this for early fireworks: Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson will be paired together for the first two rounds of next week's U.S. Open.
Woods, coming off of a victory at the Memorial Tournament last week, will be searching for his 15th major championship when the Open begins Thursday at The Olympic Club.
Mickelson, a three-time Masters winner who has yet to win his national championship, and Bubba Watson, the reigning Masters champ, will round out the threesome that tees off at 7:33 a.m. Thursday on No. 9.
In another marquee pairing, U.K. stars Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood play at 1:29 p.m. Thursday off No. 1.]

| The American organisers certainly know how to hype up the drama, American Idol style.
I can almost hear Ryan Seacrest describing each of the 1st group players.
"Tonight.... raw home-grown talent and recently crowned Masters champion, goes up against seasoned swash buckling genius and multiple majors winner. And both of them must face he who is arguably The Greatest Player of all time.
Who will go home?
Who will prevail?
Ladies and gentlemen, THIS..... IS THE US OPEN!"
Cue music! | |

| Matt Kuchar for me.
I have heard from a friend who is a member at Olympic, who played last week, and told me that it is BRUTAL right now. It is long, the rough is nasty and it is going to be a serious test. Especially the first 6 holes.
I think the winner is going to be a guy that keeps in the fairway off the tee and is able to hit a good share of greens. Since they are smallish, they might not need to put it lights out. Some someone that plods around the course pretty well, not to many highs or lows, So Dufner would be a sound pick right now as well.
Conversely if someone putts it really well and hits it mediocre they will contend, assuming they don't make any large numbers. That could be Tiger if his putter gets warm, as I am still not sold on his driver. I think he is hitting it better, but the driver scares me, especially at the US Open. Hitting in the rough can be like a penalty stroke.
Not to mention I think the USGA is going to make it a little harder after the performance of Rory last year. The players might feel the pain, although I hope they don't do that I feel they might.

| Seriously hope TW will win or at least do well.
But he's being out of luck and form whenever it's the major week.
Btw, us open is it on mio? If yes, any online link to watch? Even replay is good enough for me.

| To play the Olympic Club well one needs accuracy, a solid short game and some distance if the wind is blowing.
Rootin' for Tiger but based on form for me it's either: Lee Westwood Jason Dufner
Probably Jason Dufner.
