Just seen the scores, Mardan got the last spot in a playoff, taking out fellow Singaporean Lam Chih Bing

Gotta feel for the amateur from Japan Matsuyama who went from 1st place (-9) to 10th with a disastrous back 9 of 43.

late last year Nick and Mardan got together to work out a few things and that include a lot of self examination and why he wants to continue playing golf. amongst some of the goals set was qualifying for the Open as well as winning tournaments. looks like its all panning out well.

i got a sms from MM this afternoon and it says " Boss i in the Open" of course i did not see the message until much later. well it now looks like i have to go to the Open this year cos i promised to bring him to the fish and chip place near Royal Lyntham and St Anne. Plus will have to search for a good caddy for that course, its not horrendously long but windy.

it will be a bonus for the UN next week as they will not only be dining with an Asian Tour winner but an Open qualifier.

looking forward to a sumptuous makan next week and of course sadam and the broker will be buying for UN who in a way inspired him to dig deeper and stay focus on the task.

well done MM! You may or may not know it but I am quite sure your good form has created quite a buzz in the Singapore golfing community. Most if not all Singapore golfers are proud of u.
