Phil's approach curls to the flag for a birdie put but Tiger finds the right bunker. The first real miscue from him.
Tiger's bunker shot well executed gets close to the pin, but the putt is downhill.
Thompson makes birdie and is back at -1.

| Hole 6 489 yards.
This hole has the sole fairway bunker of the course.
Phil over cuts a wood, left rough. Tiger's 2 iron with a twirl, fairway.
Bubba's pink driver carries the fairway bunker, and he struts down the fairway both hands in his pockets. | |

| Phil just short of the green, Bubba hits the green, Tiger pulls his approach from 240 yards to a tricky lie near the lip of the bunker.
The hole 1-6 gauntlet may well give a final bite before it is over. | |

| Tiger, one knee on the bunker lip, another leg in the bunker, choking down 3/4 shaft, sends the ball to the pin. With little spin, the ball settles on the fringe past the pin. | |

Drivable par 4, Bubba finds bunker, Phil lands on the green, but Tiger may be in an awkward lie in the bunker again.
This course is nothing if not entertaining. The drama continues.

Bubba and Phil missed to the left, Tiger finds the green.
Making bogey on the drivable par 4 just now must be annoying to Tiger, but it does not seem to affect his focus for the next hole. | |

Misjudging the wind, his approach is on but well short of the pin. Phil in a similar position.

Bubba driver off the deck 2nd shot, gets to greenside bunker.
Tiger does not draw enough, wood to right side bunker.
Bubba out.
Tiger on bent left knee one leg in one leg out stance again, gets out well enough under the circumstances. Just misses the birdie putt. Par.
