i think i will now update LANPAR's entry requirements

1. Drive 250m and above
2. 3 wood hits 225m and above
3. 18 / 19 degree hybrid 210m and above
4. 7i must carry 150m or more
5. must have 1 on a par 4 of at least 270m at least once (correct green only, however, exceptions will be made if you drove 1 on to a par 4 from another course!)


if you meet the above requirements, LANPAR wants you!

unless you lack certain traits such as a personality / manly swing...

also, if your 7i happens to go 175m or more, please PM me directly to replace me as Chairman of LANPAR! (please note, 175m is carry distance)

If nothing else, I do aspire to carry 250m with my driver, and even 150m with my 9 iron

Though I admit I hv a long long x 10 way to go

I am asking on behalf of an imaginary friend whom I sometimes see in my dreams...

If the person manages to do the following:
1) Kranji Hole 6 (450m Par 5) can use 9-iron from 150m away for 2nd shot... However, 2-on, 3 putt..

2) tee off with a very mean slice (but still far) and hit someone on the back 2 adj. fairways away.... when he went up to apologise, the fellow told him "Cannot be you lah if you are teeing off from there!!! Must be someone else's ball". To be fair, my friend went to do a incident report at the MBGC desk, and the reply he got was "You sure or not!!! So far can hit meh???"

Does this friend, if he comes to reality, qualify for LANPAR???

i would say that for lady golfers, you should refer to ms mloy for reference... but i do seem to remember mloy hitting average drives of about 200m or so

Join SHIC. Keep hitting half to three quarter swing for 9 irons. Once hit 9 irons 150m, move to LANPAR
