PostSubject: Re shaft   Re shaft I_icon_minitimeSun Mar 25, 2012 6:10 pm

Hey guys,

I have been wondering on reshafting my driver. It's a regular flex shaft but i need a lighter and a Ladies flex shaft. Wondering how much it cost to reshaft my driver. I'm confused by just looking at tons of club fitting places. Can you guys tell me where is best to reshaft my driver? How much does it cost?

Thank You!

I've bought many shafts online, but if you don't know what you are looking for, it can be a mammoth task. Better to get some advice from club-fitting professionals around here.

Love your signature, by the way..

Cheap I wouldn't think you can find a good brand new shaft. U may consider go Fareast shopping center to look for used after market shaft. Price would be cheaper

Most good shaft is price range from $200 to $500 or even more

Re-shafting is about 15-25 depending on location. The shaft is anything from 50-1000 depending on whether its pullout, after-market, new or used.

If you want softer flex, your can try A-Flex type or junior shaft. Trying calling bigfish (DGman or Frostee), they have a lot of shaft variety for all types of golfer from monsters to juniors.

Hey,

Just read your post and I would prefer you to seek a club fitter advice.

First, its best to check your swing speed.

From here you can more or less gauge what kind of shaft suits you.

Not all R flex are made the same. Mistake may happen during manufacturing stage.

And sometimes those shaft installed on our driver are not spine aligned.

you know those shaft bearing the brand name or brand model....some are not SPINE ALIGNED

so instead of hitting it straight and long you end up seeing a crazy ball flight.

Lastly, maybe you dont need a lady flex or Senior Flex.

Maybe what you need is to have a Low Kick shaft.
where the end of the shaft is more whippy which may give you additional yardage
depending on your swing speed and swing plane

Bro Hybrid is correct, go checkout your swing speed before you commit... you may be surprise what you prefer might not be what is suitable for you... no harm getting your swing stats verified and get a pro to advise on the type of shaft that gives you maximum performance...

yeah go to DGman at bukit merah. he understands that students have a tight budget and will give you a good rate. i've benefited lots from DGman and he's definitely very experienced with helping junior golfers like you find the right specification. and don't worry, DGman is not the regular salesman you'll find who just stuff you with the most expensive shaft

we are always willing to help out young golfers especially if they are keen. thats why we have the following:

1. student's rate
2. unemployment rate
3. super high roller rate

haha.......seriously i have spoken to various organisation about sponsoring young golfers from humble background but we never get enough feedback. maybe GR can start a programme and we can help 5 to 10 young golfers a year to get a level playing field in the equipment department. my only criterias are:

1. they must be keen
2. they come from a humble background
3. they come and do some work during the holidays

thats why we have lots of kids running around at times.

Reminds me of the Korean golf drama birdie buddy. The little girl was frOm a poor family but so passionate over golf that's she was so happy when she found her mom's single 8 iron in the store room and even sleep with it.

In Singapore, I often see kids going to kinder golf, well dressed with a spanking new set of clubs.
To date, no kid has pm me asking about my 5 dollars drivers or any of my project 2nd chance clubs. Smile
