Do you carry a 60 deg lob wedge? | 1. Yes. It helps me to shed strokes off my game | | 60% | [ 45 ] | 2. Used to. It is a trouble maker for me and I've gotten rid of it. | | 8% | [ 6 ] | 3. No. My 56/58 deg wedge is more than sufficient to check the ball on a dime. | | 32% | [ 24 ] |

Slicer, I haven't really tried Blee's technique yet, but I think you shouldn't have much of an issue adjusting to it. You know how some advice to chip with a putting stroke? This one is opposite, that's why it's called the Texas wedge. Using the putter, you address the ball the same way as with your wedge; weight on your left, handle leaning left also, so that it's ahead of the putterhead which is toward the middle of your stance. Then pick up with some wrist cock and chop down with a steep angle of attack. The ball will fly for a few feet, then land and roll the rest of the way. Now I also itchy to practice this technique to widen my options around the green. [/quote] Bro Birdman, Is it safe to say that for lefties like me the weight should be on the right? | |
