Do you carry a 60 deg lob wedge? | 1. Yes. It helps me to shed strokes off my game | | 60% | [ 45 ] | 2. Used to. It is a trouble maker for me and I've gotten rid of it. | | 8% | [ 6 ] | 3. No. My 56/58 deg wedge is more than sufficient to check the ball on a dime. | | 32% | [ 24 ] |

| Good for those 20m lob shots to the green...of course if you top that out, that's a different story :-) | |

| If know and can use it well, good. Otherwise it is a waste of space. Similar to all other clubs in the bag.

| I didn't think it was necessary until my game last week.
1st shot off with the Driver. 2nd, 3rd, 4th shot off with the 4I / Hybrid
And the ball plopped nicely near the Green on the rough. Asked the caddy the estimated distance and said coolly, "About 50 to the Green".
I looked into my bag and almost shit my pants out: There's my 52, there's my usual 56 SW. No 60. So I ended up using the 56 Sand Wedge, turned it up flatter and gave a good lob.
Ugly shot, but it landed well on the Green with some nice encouragement from my mates.
Subsequently, another 50 yard attempt across the water to the Green with the same 56 Sand Wedge (and adding loft to it by flattening out) saw my ball met its watery demise.
Conclusion: I can only get lucky so many times with my 56/14 Sand Wedge adding loft to it. In the end, I got my 60/10 Lob Wedge yesterday. I have 1 remaining club allowance left now.

| It is my most used club from 60m in. I liked the result so much that I started trying out 64deg.
I don't do so well with adjusting face angle, I do better with swing clock. So it can be quite personal.
However, I also have 16 clubs in my bag. So if I ever play in competition, the 64 and the 3W will have to go.

| Got the 60 the same time that I got my 56 and 52, from day 1. They form a compulsory trio for me.
If the ball is on a sloping rough near the green, usually the 60 will surpass everything else. Likewise a short flop over bunker say 15 or 20m.

| For me, it's #2 and then #3. I used to carry a 60 but found it a bit tricky to handle. My 58 now does the job I need. | |

| Its my no. 1 club to go to when I am in the 65m zone. Can't leave home without it. Besides the driver, this is my most valued club. | |

| I use it to pitch it 3/4 ways from outside the green & let the ball bounce about 3x before it trickle close to the flag. Good for undulating greens. | |

That's why you have to give me 5-5 But I too find myself getting comfortable with the 58 as I approach the 50m zone.

| 51 56 61 for me... 61 is for 70m shot... seldom lob it as i will impact with leading edge... 56 is definite partner with putter... probably due to is versatile and knuckle grind... | |

| Thanks for starting this Sd. In the past when the PW loft is 48 deg, I carried a 52, 56, and 60 as my short game system. Now with stronger lofts in iron sets, PW is like 46 deg. So I ditched my old wedges for newer set up as such 50, 54, 58.
The 58 is used mainly in bunker and lofty chips / pitches with little green to work with. I find it more versatile and playable than my 60. My coach shorthitter advised that weekend hackers are probably better off than a 60, or (gasp!) 64. I took his advice and never look back. To each his own, I guess

| nope
my 58 does everything inside 60m: pitch, chip, flop, bunker, checks, skulls, duffs
I look for a versatile sole design. Got enough bounce yet when opening the face the edge still sits close to ground so at least visually it looks easier.
like the 14s and mpts sole designs

| I have the same setup as pocketace. my A12 irons comes with 46* PW and 50* GW, so i use a 54* sand wedge and 58* lob, but I don't practice enough with the 58* and seldom use it. Would be looking to hit more shots once I dial in my new swing. | |

like the 14s and mpts sole designs I am especially good at the skulls and duffs, and I'm happy to coach on that. I'm so good, I can do it with almost any club in the bag, 58/60/64... putter, driver etc.

Total distance to pin, no more than 2m Chip and run? cannot Putt over the fairway grass? cannot Flop it? worry I skull Only option is to duff or chilly dip it.
