Just saw an unbelievable scene!! Noh seung yul from Korea in the omega European masters taking a tee shot par 4 250m direct to pin with a freaking iron and guess what ? He nailed the 250m carry. Wth!!
I can't even carry 250m with my driver

DK: Thanks for sharing... I think it is a feat even for tour players! I also wonder how come ppl comment like they see tour players teed off using an iron and getting 250m so often....
Alex: think DK meant that the height for that particular hole lah! How can be tee off 1.5km down to green. And the webpage that says high altitude meaning to say high altitude of the course right? If so, another interesting fact - high altitude = longer distance? Never knew that!

Hi peace, yah, what I meant was the height of the tee box with respect to the pin.
Wow, never knew higher altitude of the course = longer distance, think they should design a course at kathmandu for ego boosting.
how about the hole after the halfway house with the Aunty in Sembawang country club....hehehe, a long and low tee will be able to carry over the hill top and roll all the way down...
for that hole, its best that the ball goes left and roll nicely out of the tree line and on to cart path, it will brings the ball nicely to 100-150, that will be a 400+ meter drive! and one of my kaki did that, his ball landed on 150m...
if try to hit over the crest and let it roll, most of us probably will reach the bell.. for ppl like chippy probably will reach 200m or 170m mark.

hehehee..this hole always give me the kick in drivers...i have my longest drive to date on this hole...
yeah, but for me i got problem as more often than not I drive the ball to near to the green... wrong green. Left of the tree line is green for the hole after bell, i often go there.
