ACTUAL SCORES THREAD

Guy is a nice guy and I think this thread is a good one for discussion and entertainment ra-ra.

Grandmaster SS ia spot on. Sometimes good golfers will hv high scores due to regular weekend social (read; no wagers) games where they try new shots or attempt shots they normally would nt do during competitive (read: Vegas and individual bets), hence the high scores.

So best thing to do is to experience thru playing with the golfers and gauge for your ownself.
Have yr own sense of hcp with the golfer.

We all know there are some buaya's.. and we should be wary of those..
Just wanted to point out that there are also some people who genuinely have high scores during regular games.. but somehow get lucky on certain days.. hahahaa

I've golfed with Grandmaster TSS.. And i concur he's really a very nice and laid back guy.. And he genuinely have high scores during regular games.. Just that he never plays genuine golf, maybe only when birdie on demand, maybe. Peace Grandmaster.

Unfortunately I was on the wrong side of 3 birds today and becomes a santa Claus pig like my avatar. 2008 1st time playing Vegas today and won money!

first time playing vegas, beginner luck played the worst and won $.. lol

did alot of gardening, dug out many holes on the fairway today.

Sorry I got nothing to report today as was rained out. Was looking forward to post scores for capt chippy and GF.

The eventful Bukit 10th hole... chippy said to me "Capt my 4 wood will be longer than your driver".... and truely 20 m passed my drive... haizzz... kana suan as usual, Guy's drived passed all by 50m ... My vegas partner... GF.. was just a tat behind me.

Approach shot ...

GF... hit a shot straight towards the pin but just short, and roll back towards greenside bunker.

Me... Top my 8 iron !!! .. shouted WTF ! .. ball bounce towards green and ran passed the flag, passed the green.. and just stop by the back fringe.

Chippy with AW smack it right towards pin landed 10 feet from hole... ...

Guy a flip it with his short iron.. landed off the fringe.. 10 ft from hole..

GF(my partner) sand blasted out .. 20ft passed... putted.. just missed by a cow blade grass and gimme for a bogey.

Guy... chip of the fringe... F#$K .. in the hole !!!! birdie!!!

Chippy... study his line of putt knowing... one putt = reverse x 4 ...... i looked at GF ... GF looked at me ... i can hear him whispered.... please please dont ! Chippy putted and.... ball rolled perfectly right into centre of the cup... birdie !!! chippy fist pump! guy jump up .. both counting points.... 84 points !!! we congrats both.. and me and Gf mumble somethings. but we know in our heart ... great shots were made by them.

me and Gf quietly walk towards 11th tee box feeling hot under our collar and fire in our belly. while both Guy and Chippy... waiting at the 11th tee.. waiting to give more punishment !

Ermmm.... Capt ah... I think you might have missed out the details... here is how it goes:

All 4 walked up onto the 10th hole Tee Box. Its a 340+m par 4 so the caddies started pulling out our drivers. My caddie after seeing how horrendous my drives were in the front 9... he looked at me and he looked at my bag... he shy shy ask... "ermmm... so you wanna play 4w?"

Well... but I guess my caddie is right... better manage my game for damage control before things get out of hand!... so I agreed on the 4w.

As usual... have the worst score in the previous hole... I get to tee off last. Capt hit a darn straight shot... split the fairway type... nbz... and he is not my vegas partner. Follow by GF neh neh fart 3/4 swing... also split the fairway... nbz.... Then my beloved loh hei partner Guy... also straight and long... wah... damn stress...

I stepped onto the tee box... with my 4w... took a couple of practice swing... then...

Capt - "harlow... play golf like a man leh... use 4w tee-off???"

I dunno what came over me as I muscled my courage and said..
" Capt... 4w enough to drive further than you driver liao! keke... "

All the caddies were stunned and they looked at each other... I swear I saw them shaking their heads in dismay... and so were GF and guy...

I know I could have made a grave grave mistake... but I cun help it! WHO!?!? Who else dare to take a dig at our well respected Capt!?!? Who else... Chippy lor....

Well that hole did ended in my favor... but Capt started taking out his cigar on the 11th hole... best if I just say... it din take more than 2 holes for Capt to even out the 84 points we made on the 10th....

Actually it might have been very interesting if no rain out. 11,12,13 capt and GF got a big chunk of the 84 back. 14,15 no blood. Triple Vegas + double stakes, siren went off !!!!

Just when things were reaching pressure point. Haha
