i think it's well worth it...

ok first impression on Miura 1957 baby blade with KBS Pro. Shaft is solid so i can swing as fast as I want (I'm restricting swing speed on the MP-68 SR since it will go wild if I don't). so i can swing fast slow and still ok. Suprisingly the baby feels light to me but hey not a bad thing.
Perfect impact is good definitely better than mizuno, it feels feather like to me but I still need to get used to it. Can't swing aggresive since my back is still hurting from my deadlift episode, but I"m enjoying the few swing that I manage to do with P, 9, 8, 7 and 3.
There'll be more report later on next week once my back is better.

Anyway, tried it again tonight (a bit risky but what the heck). Definitely good on short iron up to 7. I still need to get used to the long iron 6 - 3 to get the distance I want at the moment, not really great on that department. but so far so good and I don't really think I need to hold on to my MP-68 anymore as I can play this as good on 7 and below, it's just the longer iron need some work on getting used to.

Realy nice blade, really soft feeling on good hits and it's not as unforgiving as I thought it would be, which is nice.

Dmateo , good to see u enjoying the miura . How do u compare the miura vs Epon which u tried during the fitting session.

I'm thinking of selling my CB 202 (Head Only) n get blade too.

Hi Golf-Mass,

comparing the two, the EPON is easier to hit probably due to the surface area which is bigger. Both Iron feel soft to me on solid contact, I can't say which one is better as I only hit like 20-30 balls on EPON. There is a difference as I do now understand what Lee was saying on the baby blade on good contact. I can only describe it as featherlike.. that's all. I haven't got that sensation before not even form the EPON I must say. But then gain the matt I hit it off in Raymond's place is not what I would call ideal so it might be different if I tried it out at the range. Maybe once you get your club I can give it a go at the range


but comparing with MP-68 Miura wins hands down, there is no question about it.

Well till you begin to get used to 6 iron and beyond. What worked for me was ensuring I had slightly bigger backswing, and more torque going through, while maintaining the alignments and lines. The key is torque, built up gradually, kept until the last moment and released. Not absolute speed.

At this rate, no need to keep the MP68 as a just-in-case set. Well done.

That's the thing, as we know, Miura has a LE black tournament blades, but a lot of people think that should have been done with the LE small blades. Hmm... I wonder if Miura will fulfill this demand.

My Scotty newport 2.6 works fine. The black KM350 is more in appreciation of its beauty, like a playable art piece. But if the feel is really much better than the newport, then...

Checked with Miura Japan. A custom order of the 1957 LE small blade in black is not possible. Too bad.

Perhaps technical reason, I'm guessing.

Yup might as well ditch the MP-68 soon. Just too lazy to take picture, upload and create the post at the moment, but I will sell that one out soon

For long iron, I tried 6,5,4 and 3. It's only 3 that I'm not used to since I dont' have them previously. So tend to be very conservative on my swing and didn't swing that hard. Around 180m on 3 which I consider off. It should be at 200m range for 3 to be effective. Anyone I also have another problem that is my back is still in pieces after my deadlift, so I don't want to force it yet. I will try again in the next few days before my trip to china on 03/10, hopefully by then my back would be much much better ie 100% healed...

but yes, no regret, been really enjoying the club

Same here, the 3i takes some warming up before my body is loose enough and relaxed enough to generate the swing. Carries about 190, with some substantial roll beyond that. When I can get 200 carry, it goes in the bag to see if I can replicate that in the course.

Maybe marketing Strategy Lee. They just launch the Limited Edition black forged tournament blade, if they now start to make Limited Edition black forged baby blade 1957, then it might impact the black tournament blade sell.

Do you remember those picture of baby blade that looks exactly like the tournament blade, I found out that that was the baby blade before 2008 edition. They look exactly the same as the tournament blade with the gold Miura logo... Sweet.

I'm so happy....I'm getting the miura hybrid 3,4 hahahaha.... I try it n loving it.... So easy to hit. I think I got most of the miura items. Will post photos later

first edition baby blade was on 2006. So there you go it looks sexy and out of stock everywhere I think since they've came up with the one with 1957 stamp on it.

Anyway another field report from the range on 3 iron. Love it, this is the softest by far of all the club. I dunno if it's just me or the longer they are the softer they get

I didn't expect to be able to hit the 3 iron crisp so fast, but I think at this rate I will have to ditch my G15 4 wood and Put back the old TM burner 3 woods. This is getting really rediculous. If things keeps going this way i will have to order 2 iron and see what that can do and I might end up with an interesting bag composition. (1 Putter, 1 Driver, 2-P, 52, 56 and 60). IRONMAN in the making ????

I will check out the wedges and see if I can handle them as well. still like my cleveland + mizuno combo but if the Miura's are far better then.. I think I will be broke this christmast...

What an excellent field report.

That's the thing about the Miuras. They make you WANT to get better, make you want to practice more, and therefore, you become better. And the better you become, the more you get out of them.

With the rich amount of feel and feedback, it's easy to know when a swing is so-so, and when a swing is SPOT-ON. So, with the dedicated practice that they inspire, improvements come thick and fast.

I remember I did not touch the 4-iron of the MP52 for a long time.

With the blades, I skipped 4 and 5 iron, and went straight into practicing the 3 iron. Somehow, it motivates you.

And you're right, the 3-iron feels softer than one would expect. Mine sometimes feels like it's on graphite shaft.

The wedges are a revelation bro. Bear in mind they take some practice to unlock their secrets, but when you do, you'd be hitting some amazing short game shots you never knew you could.
