Speaking about inventory I think it's about time I sell away all of my unused old clubs.

I don't use Iron covers either, and yes, there are many dinks and dents on my clubs ...

On the other hand, I am never going to sell my miuras, so maintaining resale value is not a consideration

Just one small point if you don't mind, you might notice the list contains all Miura clubs from the others, in keeping with the title of the thread. Razz Razz Razz Hope you don't mind me pointing it out.

I have purchased something almost like this, but have not collected yet...

Miura's owner - Page 2 2008putter-km350-back

The difference is, it's in BLACK, and it's a limited run, only 69 will ever be made.

I bought it without actually seeing or touching one. Talk about sight unseen. But black, and limited, HOW TO RESIST???

That's one beautiful putter you got there. In black that would really stand out. maybe they should make super limited 1957 in black to match it hehehe.. or maybe you can custom order it from Miura directly. I can't imagine the process will be much different other than the base material since they are already making the black tournament black.

Put some black shaft and bright colour grip and you're all set Very Happy

so I guess you'll ditch your scotty studio select newport soon ? Smile

That's the thing, as we know, Miura has a LE black tournament blades, but a lot of people think that should have been done with the LE small blades. Hmm... I wonder if Miura will fulfill this demand.

My Scotty newport 2.6 works fine. The black KM350 is more in appreciation of its beauty, like a playable art piece. But if the feel is really much better than the newport, then...

Only one of 69 in the world, bro. Rare privilege to own one. I expect these will appreciate in value with time, so good investment as well. Think about it.

If I can't bear to putt with it, I might frame it up in a glass box for viewing pleasure. But I think I won't be able to resist The FEEL. We shall see...

If not for the fact that I just got a new iron set, I'd definitely go for a set of Miura's.

Now I pray for resistance to temptation.

I was intending to go to Laguna to check out the miuras there but am afraid I will be weak and give in.

I wish I was introduced to miura earlier.. Sigh

I'm definitely not up to the standard to hit a small blade now, but I have been wanting to own a set of miura...

Maybe just buy the LE Small Blade heads and seal them for display?
but Torque dont sell heads only...

I'm afraid the heads will be there collecting dust and never have the chance to be fitted on course...

Bro, if you don't try, you literally don't know what you're missing bro.

Can always sell off the other set later. Razz

In financial management, I was taught that past financial decisions has no bearing on the current decision. If it makes sense, it's a good decision regardless of what you have done in the past.

For example, if you bought shares of company A, and then found a much better investment in company B, are you going to say no, can't buy company B because I already bought company A? No, right?

If you feel the pain of losing money in depreciation when you sell off the current set, well bro, guess what, it has already depreciated whether you sell it or not. Which is why the financial principle of past decisions having no bearings on present/future decisions makes a lot of sense.

The main thing is how much enjoyment you're getting from the set you're playing... and if you don't try, you'll never know how much more pleasure you can get from a set of clubs.

Sorry to inject so much poison.... I am evil.... Twisted Evil

Bro, no one is up to standard to hit blades from day one.

And conversely, no one will ever get up to standard to hit blades if he never hits one.

So... you need to decide whether the boundary is, and when to cross it. I wish I crossed my boundary much much earlier.

The blades have improved my swing to another level, from trying to land it on or close to the green, to deciding whether I want to land it left or right of the pin.

I will be taking some videos soon. I might post it here to show the difference pre and post blades.

Bro Lee, Aside from the soundness of applying that theory on financial/monetary invetments to buying golf clubs which is essentially consumption (although some would say it is investment grade consumption Smile ) Very Happy Very Happy , the poison is definitely great. Oh man....

One other thing, I notice most have miuras on steel shafts. Any sense in getting them on graphite shafts?

On another note, would it be accurate to say that steel shafts result in a more accurate (straighter) shot than graphite shaft assuming same heads?

Hi Mox,

Getting the right shaft for your swing makes the most sense. It does not matter if the right shaft is graphite or steel.

There are 125-130g X-Flex graphite shafts which the vast majority of us cannot handle and 86g R Flex Steel shafts which would fit a lot of people.

I would think that the directional deviation between a graphite shaft and a steel shaft is inconsequential compared to the variation from our LOFT swings.

I promise you, if you gave a whole bunch of clubs with different shafts (including Ladies) to Luke Donald and asked him to hit 100m, as long as he has enough time to adjust to each club, all his shots will be peppering the flag

i think shaft technologies has come a long way and I don't believe graphite shaft is inferior to steel. On the contrast, it might be the other way.

The term custom fitting means just what it says. It's custom. It means the club is personalized to your swing characteristic. It's not the same for everyone but it is designed to suit you and you only.

So irregardless of whether it's graphite, steel, regular, stiff etc, it needs to suits your swing and works for your swing. that is the most important and probably the only reason why you will get fitted.

happy swinging.
