More poison is alway welcome! Just like youtube for videos, you need to find a place to host the photos first. And then cut and paste the url link of the photos and put it here. I use Photobucket.com. It allows me to link pictures to the size I want, whereas some sites will shrink it or for your to jump to their site to view.

Sounds like a true salesman. We are all salesman/woman, once we have tasted the excellence and the perfection. Won't you agree bro? absolutely.. Though I would term it spread the good news rather than poison/sales. I will make one hell of a lousy sales man.. that came from my significant other, so it carries some weight. I've just let my friend hit some ball with baby blade yesterday night (he is using Honma), then I left for Torquegolf and chat with the guys there. When I came back he was hitting the rest of the ball with the baby blade. He commented on it being easy to lauch, consistent on direction and distance. He didn't even realize that it's smaller head compared to his club. I was just all smile and gave him the final blow which goes like. "So what are you waiting for, the store is just a few steps away!!" Now wait and see the poison spread and take effect of his decision logic brain membrane.

| Learnt something today which I thought I'd share with my fellow Miura-maniacs here.
I went to check on Trackman today why I tend to hook my irons a bit on the course, specifically the 8 iron, which hooks at the end, ending up on the left fringe of most holes.
Why was it straight in the range and but hooked on the course?
Because on the range, after hitting several balls, the mind and body subconsciously adjust, until the shot is straight. On the course, every shot counts, no chance to adjust.
Turned out, the swing path was massively inside out, 6 degrees. No wonder I tend to hook. Or push.
Found out my right shoulder was too low at setup and in the backswing. Adjusted it.
That got it to a swing path of between 2 degrees to -0.4 degrees. And the shots were much straighter. When the club face was closed or opened, the resulting deviation became much less. D-plane at work of course. The old path of 6 degrees compounded the deviation between a closed face - hook and an open face - push.
Another thing, when I balanced my weight evenly in the center of my heels, I tend to hit it off the toe. When I move the balance more to the balls of my feet, I hit it in the center.
Interesting.
I have always has a problem with coming in too deep before, and it was impossible to fix - I tried everything. Now, (here comes the advertisement) after the blades, the components of the swing are so clear to me, I can isolate one element (right shoulder height), adjust it, and keep all the other elements the same, and I get the change I want.
I am impressed with the learning experience.

| Hi Lee,
have you consider to use blade in training, and cavity or combo during play? I heard custom component make like Miura has same loft, bounce, size for both blade and cavity to made a combo set.

Yes, I understand what you mean. I don't want to go easy on my swing just yet, it's still developing. So for now, I want to keep the swing on its toes, and get feedback the moment it goes out of kilter. For instance, in my previous MP52, that slight hook with the blades was quite straight, and I would not have discovered my drooping right shoulder. For that matter, in that 2 years, my MP52 did not reveal I had a drooping right shoulder. The blades revealed that straight away and now I need to correct it every now and then. Not a fault of the MP52s - that was their design. But I should have started with blades much earlier instead of collecting years of unknown bad habits.

| Hi Lee,
Yeah.. I still have my 1-iron blade that I used mainly for practice. but I always play with my 2 and 3 hybrid. I always use difficult club in practice, but bring easy club to the green.
btw, do you have a coach to watch your swing or you simply figure out yourself with the feedback from the blade?

| Friends,
From the list, I see that 9 out of 16 have got wedges from Miura.
Excellent. Just to share, I discovered something which unlocked the power of the wedge for me.
I heartily recommend Dave Pelz's Short Game Bible. After reading Chapter 4 - Mechanics of the Short Game, I have begun to hole out my chips with the Miura wedges on the course in the very next game.
For sand shots, I find Stan Utley's setup (setup square, tilt spine to the left) works for me tremendously well, combined with the above.
One of the toughest sand shots is when the sand is wet, and hard packed, like cement-mud, and you just want to hit a gentle shot that goes 2-3m because you have very little green to work with. I had fun yesterday hitting this shot all afternoon at the KLGCC range.
Dave Pelz explains why using hands don't work, especially under adrenaline and pressure. He advocates 'dead hands'. He talks about rhythm and timing, using the space rocket as an example, from his days at NASA. He describes the 'finesse swing.'
I taught these techniques to a beginner flightmate on the course, and he started to get it close to the pin from anywhere between a couple of meters to 20-30m away. So obviously, there's something to the method.
So, to unlock the magic of the Miura wedges, Dave Pelz's Bible, chapter 4. An epiphany awaits.

I think that is a good method. In addition, why don't you try playing with your 1-iron blade? Once you confront the 'fear', it disappears, and you will be stronger as a result. After that, you will wonder what the fuss was all about. Certainly, you will learn much from the experience. Full disclosure, I get numerous requests to provide coaching actually (paiseh, paiseh, they give me too much credit), so I guess I should be able to figure out my own swing la. Once you understand how your own swing works, it's not difficult...

| Hi Lee,
I am definitely not at your level. I am not even allowed to teach my own kids.hahaha...Also recently with work, kids and traveling, struggling to find time to improve my swing also..getting 1 iron to launch is really too hard...it is more of a fun club for me to play with on the range. definitely a no no for me to bring to green..
Also, I stopped for 1.5 years. Recently restarted and trying get back my swing with a coach at JCC.
btw, many years back, I used 9 to 6 blade, 5 to 3 cavity. sometime a 2 cavity when playing on a windy country. Need the cavity to make sure that don't lose money on par 3.

Interesting. Your 1 iron is like what the Adams Pro Black hybrid was to me initially. A very difficult club to launch. Gradually, I got to know more and more, not about the club, but about my swing. And when I found I could launch the pro black, I discovered I could also launch the blade. And ironically, I have never been more accurate on a par 3 than w the blade. as I mentioned above, I had a drooping right shoulder, and hooked the blazes out of my MP52. I can aim right and hit the green, but because it was a hook, it would run off. With the Miuras, I am recently sticking it close to the pin up to 5 iron, 170m. With cb in my case, not possible previously, in fact, never pin-seeking before. But, no need for me to elaborate, you've played blades before, so you know how it is. Good to hear you are working w a coach on your swing after your hiatus. It will save you a lot of time and effort down the road as you know. When I can't flush my irons on the course, I know a flaw has crept in, I can target it for immediate correction in the next round at the range. Helps to keep it sharp at all times.
