Wide brimmed hats for Sun Protection?

tried using a ski mask?

i got those hats that the SAF rangers or recce wear for their head dress... neve tried it on course before...

ears are covered.. but the neck... depends on the angle of the sun i guess... if the sun is on top of yr head then it will protect...

Usually when i am working under the hot hot sun, I will wear a towel round my neck. Hope it helps

One immediate remedy, dun take too long to hit.

hide in the buggy till your turn to hit the ball..hehehehe...Buy the army scarf also can do the trick..

Play night golf then ......

Dracula style. unfold collar to protect behind neck or wear japanese war cap.
For me night golf so no problemo.

For day golf, just accept fate, nothing will be spared by the mighty sun.

you know guys anybody seen anyone playing golf with those huge mexican hats .. I think it's called sombrero or something. That will be really funny but it should protect you from the sun, and the best part force you to swing wide wide (otherwise hit the hats edge).

Not sure if these are available in Singapore, but you can check out Outdoor Research (budget) or Tilley (more high class). Both companies make very good hats. I've got a Tilley and i think it works great for golf too. Probably might want to hold on to your hat when you're zooming around in the cart though...

Thx for your suggestions everyone ... once my skin recovers, will resort to night golf @ MBGC ... but what about tournaments/ medals??? I guess I should try out the below ... are these available in Singapore so that I can try them out? I could order online, but prefer trying them on before purchasing ...

Go to those tackle shop in beach road that sell foshimg stuff. Will be able to get these jap soldier hat.

I got a The North Face cap with neck flaps today! Spf 50

Now need to show some patience as the burnt skin peels off ->

you can use the some lotion for treating burn wound. I think you shoudl be able to find them in Guardian or Watson. It helps speeds up the process and sooth the skin. That is if you're not already using it.
