Golf shoes: Wide mainly ?

any reasons why most of golf shoes on the market in sg are in Wide size ?

I notice that too.. The local footjoys are mainly in XW. so those who wear M or D will need to size down (assuming the shoes are true to fit)..

I remember I read somewhere that Asians usually have wide feet. Can this be the reason to avoid too many SKUs?

Because Asians have wide feets ...   

Local consumers are relatively un-demanding so retailers just stock 'one pattern fits all' models, this way companies can save on inventory costs and limit unsold stocks.

This is the reason I move away from Adidas and Footjoy.
Other less mass market brands have other options.

Footjoy W sizing for me suits me best. Coz of my wide feet.

As to why limited 'cutting' available, guess it's down to the purchaser of each brand.

No point holding too much stock and then not able to clear it.

thanks Guys ! that explains all .. now wearing some true links  for a year. I thought i will be nice to get a bit wide for comfort but at the end, i may swith back to "true to size" type or less wider shoes than true linkswear !
