Taylormade R11 driver arrived in town.

Am just about to get the r11 at takashimaya. Any other bros here have good hands-on reviews of this club ?

got myself the 9.5 non tp with TM fuji blur 60 stiff

club launches low and flat and whole club felt really heavy. have to really whack up on the ball to really get it to launch high, that really messes up my timing and left most of the shorts right. did not bother to tweak the settings, the matte white top looks really cool but is a bit distracting initially and takes some getting use to on course. quality of paintwork on the sole plate not really tip top though and should expect paint chips after some on course "abuse".

impact sound on centre hits is a nice solid "crack", but balls leaving clubface do not feel as hot as compared to the TM superfast

changed the shaft to a grafalloy project X 5.0 at 45" and tested this combo on course. overall a very straight driver, but no gain on distance though from my diablo edge tour. would prefer the diablo octane tour if one is looking for distance gains, and for forgiveness a superfast would be the ideal.

would like to see how this compares to the superfast 2.0 though

Thanks bb2. After reading your review, am now thinking of the superfast instead. Actually have no need for new driver as I am happy with my burner but just backside itchy....

well this white thingy fad is a must try, would also luv to see how the TM's matt white compare to the cobra white ZL or S3 lor.
