| Hey all, TaylorMade has been teasing the public with their #BuildTheClub campaign on Instagram, getting users to literally build the golf club with partial photo teasers... but here are real photos of the brand new R15 driver, which will probably hit retail around January. Very interesting that the sole will have TWO sliding weights. Love the black/red/white colourway as well -- definitely matches with the rest of the RSi iron line. And from what we've seen, the new R15 fairway woods will also have a single sliding weight on the sole! Looks very interesting and we're sure we're gonna get more info over the next couple of weeks! | |

| Unless one has very deep pockets, I wonder how many golfers out there can keep pace with the "fashion" of the likes of TM and Callaway ... To me, they are all pure marketing gimmicks ... Apologies for being blunt ... | |

| Hi when I read that there are 2 slider weights but without first seeing the photo, I actually thought that there will be a slider from heel to toe and the other slider is from front to back!
Than when I saw that the 2 slider were from heel to toe....
So does that mean that my idea is the first of its kind! hhhmmmmmm well let see if any club maker will produce such design....

nobody can keep pace with golf equipments release these days. It's just too expensive to buy new clubs every year (but some people on golfwrx buy clubs every 3 months). Thats why golf sales in the US is going down this year. Too many damn stocks in the store and nobody buys it. Golfers prefer to buy outdated clubs on ebay with half the price (such as myself).

| Been wanting to own the SLDR, so hopefully this will help with the price. I don't see much difference between the R15 and the SLDR other than add weights. Doubtful they can move the CG much more forward compared to SLDR. | |

Not sure about in Singapore, but over here in Canada, there is a "buy an SLDR driver, get an SLDR fairway wood or hybrid for free" deal going on... probably to clear stock and make room for the R15 series of equipment. http://www.eighteenunderpar.com/blog/2014/11/12/taylormade-golf-r15-driver-woods-hybrids/Gonna be very interesting to hear directly from Taylormade about the new technology, particularly the dual weights. We did a feature on the drivers, fairway woods and hybrids above using information we found on the TMAG Japan website We should be hearing more from TMAG North America in the next day or so though!

Cos its also my weakness. You don't have to wait for me. Search for "rick shiels R15" on youtube. It's a good driver..... This time no gimmick from Tmag. Good design, good performance.

| Looks like it is in response to Callaway late$t & futuri$tic-like Alpha 815 ... Would you believe, the Callaway Alpha 815 is priced higher than the Titleist 915 ... I would prefer the latter anytime ... But I am very happy with my 913D2 with Diamana S+ shaft ... | |

They are the exact same price at TGW. I don't know in SG yet. I think drivers are getting too expensive. It was around $300 about 2 years ago.

I'm referring to 2015 models bro! (titleist 915, Callaway Alpha 815, Nike Vapor, Tmag R15). If it's from 2013, of course it's cheaper.... it's called clearance....

| These aren't going to be available at retail until January 9th, but our local TMAG rep invited us in last week to test the entire line up of R15 and AeroBurner metalwoods. Initially, we thought the black would look better than the white for sure, but in person, the white actually looks much better. The gloss black had a noticeably greater amount of glare and much more susceptible to fingerprints.. the matte white is much better to us. In terms of performance, feel and everything else, the R15 is amazing. A VERY good driver and a lot of improvements on the SLDR. The dual weights really help stabilize the clubhead and increase MOI for forgiveness.... and the front track system is moved 22mm closer to the face for an even more low and forward CG compared to the SLDR.... the clubhead itself is also lighter than the SLDR, so may be able to swing faster. The AeroBurner is LOUD.... a typical "burner" type of driver loud. Only tried hitting it with stock shafts, so it was a bit "whippy" for us.... it is as advertised - long, fast and lightweight.... the looks were a turn off in photos, but in person, it's not so bad. you don't really notice the raised crown or the aerohosel at address..... paint job is still ugly though lol! Anyways, we'll be writing up "first impressions" soon, so stay tuned for that.. in the meantime, some photos! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.756185257794477.1073741839.367220520024288&type=1 | |
