| TS... waywards shots.. then you should play vegas.... or you can play TEAM BFG PRACTISE kind of betting. $20 a hole, birdie, additional $10.. and cut throat with every player in the flight.... Vegas is fun in a way cos you dun need skills to win.. you need luck.. i remember once i played 96, and my flight mate played 83, but end up, I won money and he lost.... | |

| i'll give this a shot at explaining. this style of betting is meant for 9 holes, matchplay.
3-1-1 is the start and bets are made on a multiple of this...just decide how much each 'point' is worth, e.g. 30-10-10 (each point is worth $10), 15-5-5 ($5 each point), 45-15-15 ($15 each point), 300-100-100 ($100 each point)..u get the picture
3 points - for the match 1 point - for each fringe e.g. sandy par, double 5, double 3, birdie, 3 pars in a row, etc 1 point for dormie
Example: At the 9th tee, A is up by one hole and has parred both prior par 3s (one fringe) and had a birdie (1 fringe).
Scenario 1: Player A wins the 9th hole he wins 3 balls (for the match) + 2 (for the fringes) + 1 for the dormie = 6 points
Scenario 2: Player B wins the 9th hole: Match is squared + Player A wins 2 (for the fringes) + Player B wins 1 (the dormie): Nett is Player A wins 1 point
Scenario 3: Hole is squared: Player A wins 3 (for the match) + 2 for the fringes + dormie is squared. Nett: Player A wins 5 points
To tally, just multiply the points by $ and you get the end result.
At least this is how i normally play it.... | |

| jimmychoo, seriously, I would not have entertained him. Fortfeit the game like what klt8144 mentioned. How can oneself forget his/her handicap. I hope he is not a good friend of yours. It will then be a really sad day. No doubt he self declare lower but why bring out the handicap card when he lose. Will he bring out the card if he wins? That the question. A lesson learn. If you don't know the guy and betting big and your opponent have no handicap card to show. Don't bet lor. Play for drinks or makan kechil. | |
