Not on the 1st hole of the Palm course. I think there were 8 snakes on that hole alone. First few snakes, all so serious, last few snakes on the hole, all just don't care anymore just hantam and laugh. Question is whether the long hitting snake turns into a buaya???

| Thanks Malcolm for organising the golf trip. The Turi beach hotel is beautiful, I will choose to stay there again if there's any chance to stay overnight n play in batam again. Seafood and sportmassage were cheap and good. Thanks Wil for the massage recommendation. Overall , I enjoyed the company n first game... Only managed to play 16 holes on day 2. Cheers!! | |

One dominated for the 1st six holes with constant pars, then the other bombed a 3 wood 250 metres downhill over the green into the water. Snake again!

thank you for your kind support... And also Par 3 nearest to pin for a birdie...long downhill shot. tat one lost to birdman's slamdunk lah hahaha...all i heard was.."Oh Shit!!!"...ball proceeds to hit the flag and into the cup... Yah loh...dont u just hate it..when people go "NB, Oh Shit" and then u see their ball go in for birdie?? Birdman can change his nick to "Hao Lian" In the words of many many buayas/buayees... "that one heng ah.." Really! Wanted a little bit more run to get the ball to the hole but gave it too much juice. The moment I hit, I knew it. That's why I "NB, oh shit!". Next second, one bounce on the green, hit the the pin and slam dunk straight in. That sure felt good! (With due apologies to my opponents). Made up for all the pars that ended the first pairing of sixes after 4 holes, of which I was at the receiving end. Eden, sorry sorry, forgot about your shot. That one fantastic. Curl around the cliff, over small stream and onto the green near the pin tucked onto a small corner with bunker in front. At that time too shell shocked, so my memory erased the unfortunate episode (for me). But it was one of the most fun and memorable rounds of golf I've had in a long time. All thanks to my flight mates, Eden (shotshaping NTP Champion), ZhenXua (long driving par par monster), and Wilkang (250m downhill 3 wooder over the green into the water snake eater). Many flubs and fantastic shots with hot sun, heavy downpour, cooling weather, drizzle, then hot sun again, all in one round of golf. Crazy crazy day! But so very fun!

Only 8 iron for me, means pitching wedge for you, means sand wedge for Zhenxua. I won't forget how you laugh at me too ok? I'm your partner that time some more. The other par 3 where we all thought I hit a good shot to the green, then short and kena the rocks to bounce sideways. Your sudden loud laugh hurt my feelings so much.
