| I heard its a killer course. bunker galore......
Last year, got one hole, your drive have to carry 265 yds before reaching the fairway. Now reduced to 230 yds.....

A lot of pressure on him. I'm confident that he has a good chance but won't say that it's a done deal.

Most of the pros do and, yes, he does so better than others.

| I think it's ironic that sunny is posting in the US Open thread From what I've seen, there's nothing sunny about the US Open atm. Just kidding I do agree with you, sunny. Tiger is unshakeable under pressure. | |

| My humble view.....this open will be won by someone outside of the top 10 world ranking.... | |

| This US Open is a pain to watch. With more rain delays than an SAF training mission, it has kept me waking up numerous times to see if play has resumed.
Tiger is a good 11 strokes back after a scrappy 1st hole (10th) driving into the bunker, hitting into the left greenside rough/cabbage, pitching it on and holing the putt. If he can fashion a good 3rd round while the leaders fall backwards tomorrow, winning seems slim for him.
Hoping for David Duval, Philly Mick and Ricky Barnes to do well.

| if duval wins, all the golf media is gonna have a field day man. phil will make good headlines too, especially considering his mental condition coming into this open. but i hope duval wins though.
first cabrera wins the masters, then duval wins the open. that would make a good year ah.

| he was a major force in 2001 when he won the Open. but he quickly fell off the rankings, due to his health issues. you would probably noticed how much weight he has put on in the past 8 years. i think duval admitted that he was unable to put up with the physical demands of the game when he was at his peak. but since then he has not won a tourney, and even has trouble making cuts.

| i think it was more down to his psychological state and self doubt and all that. believed i read it somewhere in a golf magazine analysing his decline.
that was quite sad. | |

| yup, his mental state was also a major factor in his decline. that may have led or added to his physical breakdown. | |

| Yeah, Duval has really packed on the pounds. It's too bad he's not in shape (both physically and mentally). It would be nice to seem him storm to the end. | |

He also got married and had kids, that changed his focus also... I know I have packed on the pounds since I took the plunge

| Don't forget he is one of the few people who have shot 59 in a PGA tour event. Good things do happen. | |
